quick question can i use a psp fat jidkick battery to install a custom fw on slim or does it have to be a slim battery?

you can only use a fat battery on the slims as the slim battery wont convert to pandora.

A fat battery is required for the slim PSP and is the original means of doing it. The slim battery has problems with the files and has many changes in it by Sony so a fat battery is all you can use for now.

thanks for the help guys. i already have a fat with 3.52 m33 and access to another fat with cfw so im good to go with the slim.thankyou!!

No problem I can tell you it does work I have used my Fat battery on a few slims and it works perfectly but you will have to at least have version two of the Pandora firmware.

i have desparter 3 and c+d tool and a guide from ynkees4life who was kind enough to help me with unbricking my fat psp a while ago.can i use ms.ipl from that unbrick on a slim?

ill create another msipl.bin just to make sure!!

could someone give me a link to 3.71 fw?and also does it need to be the slim 3.71 fw or the fat 3.71 fw?

Both slim and fat files are the same thing they automatically recognize your system. I can't provide a direct link though.
