Hi, I'm a n00bster to this forum, so please excuse me if I am wrong, guys I have recently downloaded v 2.0 firmware for the PSP, but it just doesn't work, when I run it on my PSP via Memory stick, it says after a while: Error. I tried this multiple times, but it still doesn't work. Can you help me? :(

you have to put it in psp\games\UPDATE or something like that for it to work
after you do that and it is instaled you delet it

idk y you would want it tho you wont be able to play homebrew

i would check around this site and others and check out the awsome things homebrew can do, as anything other than 1.0/1.5 prevents it from running, but if you are sure u want it, i would recommend doing a network update from within the psp if u have an access point, or check the sony site for detailed instructions, as they are doing everything they can do get ppl to update and stop the homebrew

Gr8, for some reason, when I tried again today, it worked! And I hate it when that kinda thing happens. I hate you guys, in a good way......

But ironically not in a good way at all.... Nah you guys are alright. :)

I read something that states that newer purchased games down the road will force you to upgrade or will do it for you!!!

It sucks for the homebrew dev's...

@ PSP_Newbie: Maybe he has 1.5X so there is no difference with the homebrew thing

Homebrew is overrated! (that should annoy a few people).:-)

The browser itself is a good enough reason to install 2.0 and there are stacks of games on the market already.

Got my psp, and had a BIG RED NOTE.

IMPORTENT BEFORE YOU TURN ON PSP DO :
insert disk, insert batteri, run 2.0 upgrade..

so i did. now im kinda locked on using 2.0
well i bought 3 games, but comeone. i want homebrew.. lol
got usb - firewire for update/flashing..

Where can i find info on n00bs guide to downgrade 2.0 to 1.5x
Or more importent the file, neede :p

note : Reason i want downgrade, is i love to run old sega/nintendo emulators and the great old games, for a good laugh.
