The emulators are working great!!!! Still dissapointed though that a lot of SNES games aren't running at full speed (especially the FF games). But in all honesty, I like being able to play hacks on the go! Hopefully they will update that emu some time in the future to run better (or it would be kickass if ZSNES was ported to PSP, that would rock!) Go PSP!!!

Snes9x_tyl is obviously based on snes9x, which is written in the C++ language, which means it is relatively easy to port to another platform (like the PSP) from its original PC (x86) platform. That doesn't mean its easy to get it running well on the PSP, just that it is doable.

To quote wikipedia: 'ZSNES is largely written in Intel x86 assembly language, and is therefore not easily portable to other architectures, such as PowerPC. Due to being written in assembly, ZSNES is very fast, allowing it to run most SNES games at 60 frames per second on a computer with a Pentium II CPU and 64 MB RAM, with full stereo sound and basic graphics interpolation.'

Assembly language is specifically written for one platform, in this case x86 (PC). It is a low level language, meaning that the programmer has to really understand the inner workings of the hardware, but because of this a clever programmer can write code that really makes use of the 'power' of the hardware.
However, it also means that the code has to be almost entirely re-written to port it to a different platform.

So you cannot really 'port' ZSNES to the PSP, as it would be less or a port and more of a complete re-write. That is obviously a lot harder and more time consuming than porting an existing emulator.

Live with snes9x_tyl and try messing with the options/ooking for speedhacks, or study programming and write a better emulator. Complaining that your 'disappointed' and expecting others to do it for you is not a solution.
