Man im sick of these tech demos, when are we going to see the actual engines released!

If something isn't done soon about the guides, engines, etc then DC homebrew and development will die a horrible death once coders start to leave.

Before this their were a ton of 3D engine tech demos, some which were really good and were able to create games which had awesome graphics, comparable to PS2, PSP, Xbox, etc After a while and many tech demos later the coders were never heard from again.

As long as a Dreamcast engine can easily do good 3D, which any one can pick out, no one will really care. As long as it can run and give us kick ass homebrew games.

I don't know about this engine, but their were a few others that showed alot more promise.

OK, I agree. It is a shame Vortex and Holly didn't get a release but you can't really complain as Tryptonite was never released and Holly was never finished. It's normal for people to lose motivation... Yeti3D is a different story though. I'm not sure what went on with that, it was never really popular.

Holly3d is based on Iris3d. Heinrich Tillack released the source code for his DCastle engine just a few days ago, and it is also based on Iris3d. - I assume that it is very close to what Holly3d would have been like.
