I had trouble with it too, so dont feel alone, you should try and download DC Factory , it is a VERY easy program to use, but I dont remmeber the website it is on, hopefully someone on this board knows.
once you get it you can make self-booting discs of most emulators like DreamSNes etc..

The most popular one right now is sbi it's very easy as well, you can get it from http://www.dcemu.co.uk/neededtools.shtml

you can go to dc factory at http://dcfactory.cjb.net/ its a little out of date though to be honest.

My personal app is selfboot buddy http://www.consolevision.com/members/fackue/

Hello Zelda,

please visit www.sbiffy.com and try Selfboot Inducer v4 ! It'll allow you to burn several DC programs such as emulators and homebrewn games on one single disc without any problems or previous burning expierence.
All you'll need is a program like DiscJuggler, Nero 5.x (v6 will not work) or Alcohol120%.

Also visit www.dcevolution.net for some nice pre-made images you should try out. The site will be updated regularly with new images, so stay tuned. My suggestions: Try out BASS DC, Alice in Wonderland and the Tetris Selection at first.

Last, but not least, the famous Beats of Rage is well worth a try:

...found it at www.sbiffy.com

Chris

Edit: You can edit SBIs as they are the same as ZIP files!
After extraction open the DXL files with Notepad.exe and edit them for proper screenshots etc.

The DC executables are unscrambled, otherwise the same as the common 1st_read.bin

Yes, as Chris pointed out, there is an SBI of Alice Dreams (the latest preview release) on Sbiffy!com. Also, if you are really interested in figuring out how to make an SBI, you can check out DCStuff's tutorials. There is a tutorial on there explaining how to create your own SBI files. The tutorial was designed for SBInducer v3, but only one small thing has changed between v3 and v4 (and it's a simple addition that's not necessary), so the v3 tutorial will work just fine.
