Has anyone else noticed glitches in the linux dreamcast distribution?

it starts up fine and i haven't done anything else 'cos i haven' got a keyboard yet, but i notice some errors about depmod and dependencies not being there and the clock sets it's self to the earliest date/time it can.

is this normal?

Yes, this is all normal. Those errors always happen, and as far as i'm aware they don't affect Linux in any serious way.
