when it says root
that means if your PSP is your F drive
then copy that file to your F drive

(not only a PSP noob, but a computer noob as well)

To clarify you're renaming it 150.PBP, not adding another folder named that. If that still doesn't work, try putting UPDATE in GAME380 instead of GAME. Also, make sure your 1.50 file's the same as this one. (http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/43)

Misspellings found:
Nowhere, does, corrupted.

I hope to God English isn't your first language.

Could you post the full list of instructions you are following so we can see exactly what you are tying to do.

Root means the highest level up in the directory structure. Ie: Not inside any folder, straight on the drive.
So if you plug your PSP into your PC and the memory stick shows up (in my computer) as E: then you double click that drive and put the file in there.

The 'address' bar in windows explorer will show 'E:\' showing that you are at the root of the drive and not inside any folders. 'E:\MP_ROOT\' is not the root of the drive, its just a folder that has a confusingly similar (for newbs) name.

The PSP could show up as a different drive letter, I'm just using E as an example.

I believe his/her full instructions are as follows:

-Copy the files in the release to a directory called UPDATE
-Move the UPDATE directory to /PSP/GAME/.
-Get sony 1.50 update and copy it to the root with name "150.PBP"
-Run the program and done.

Edit: What worked ? Post what solved your problem, as it'll help people in future !

1-files in directory UPDATE
2-put the files in directory psp/game380
3-rename sony update to 150.pbp and just put it on the card (not in any folder)
4-run the program

just put it on the card (not in any folder)
Yeh, that's the root. Glad I've helped (even if you're a sloppy speller ;)).
