Yakuza 2? It's been out in Japan for YONKS, but that's not deterred Sega from bringing the PS2 game to the UK and Europe, where it'll release "during 2008".

In fact, earlier in the month Japan got its hands on Yakuza 3 on PS3 (check out some videos of this here), which performed well during its first week of release.

Anyway, if you're not at all familiar with Yakuza 2 it's a third-person action-adventure dealing with Japan's answer to the Mafia. Boasting revamped combat and larger environments than its predecessor, the sequel finds players reprising the role of Kazuma Kiryu who is attempting to halt a clan war.

Gary Knight, European Marketing Director, Sega Europe, has said the company's thrilled to be bringing Yakuza 2 to these shores.

"Yakuza 2 is one of the most requested Japanese titles in our portfolio and we're delighted to finally announce a European version", he added.
