SNK will treat PlayStation fans to two more of its classics this week.

Mental 2D shooter Metal Slug 2 and the old-school beat-'em-up King of Fighters '96 will be hitting the US PlayStation Store this week, reports Siliconera.

The better-late-than-never closed beta for Tribes Ascend will kick off on November 4.

Confirmation came from developer Hi-Rez Studios lead Todd Harris in the interview below, in which he admitted the beta is starting later than planned.

The delay, he explained, is down to the developer wanting to make a "few adjustments" based on feedback from previous Alpha testing, and the decided inclusion of the game's deeper character progression elements.
