Gamers on the Steam forum complained about the move, particularly in light of widespread struggles in getting BFG Edition, which does not support mods, to run smoothly.Now, it's back.“On the heels of Doom 3 BFG Edition's release, we heard feedback from fans: you still wanted a chance to purchase the game's original 2004 release,” read a statement on theBethesda Blog.“Beginning this week, the original version of Doom 3 and its expansion, Resurrection of Evil, are available at a lower price.”Now, Doom 3 is £5.99, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil is £3.99 and the Doom 3 Pack is £7.99.“For players with the BFG Edition of the game, you'll be happy to know that we'll be releasing the GPL source code in the near future. Stay tuned for updates,” Bethesda added.
