    Apparantly a Minnesota radio host announced over the radio that if parents were willing to turn their children over to the station for 24 hours, they would give them a new PS3. They got more than they bargained for:

    "We got more calls than we could handle," said Dave Ryan, "They were lined up willing to turn their kids over to strangers for a freakin' PlayStation."

    Children offered included a one week and two day old baby. One caller named Katie attempted to get a PS3 by offering her 1 month old up for a 3 day period. When informed it was a hoax, she responded in disbelief.

    Dave Ryan went onto say in an article,"But I didn't want them to feel too badly. I said, 'Listen you're not the only one who fell for this'. But at the same time, think about it, these are your kids, these are the most precious responsibility you'll ever have in your entire life. Be careful with your babies.' "

    It seems all I do is talk about water cooling lately doesnt it? well now the kits here for everyone (thats brave enough) to use. Koolance are selling Xbox 360 water cooling kits, if you have some of the parts already or want to get them form somewhere else theres this kit at $124.99 details below:
    'Koolance's dual cooler kit for the Xbox 360 features both CPU and GPU liquid blocks, along with special hardware for mounting these components. This kit allows connection to an external heat exchanger and pump system, such as the Exos-LT'

    Alternative you can buy a full kit, they come in black or silver at the moment, for $394.99 & have these bits:
    'Koolance's complete cooling kit for the Xbox 360 features the Exos-LT cooling system, CPU and GPU liquid blocks, AC power adapter, and special Xbox mounting hardware.'
    In more detail:
    'Exos-LT cooling unit (pumps/reservoir, radiator, fans, control board, LED display, etc.), Exos-LT user manual, Exos-LT AC power adapter, GPU/CPU cooling blocks, 1/4" (6mm) ID tubing and springs, liquid coolant, hose clamps, mounting hardware, external nozzles, thermal paste'

    Koolance warns:
    'IMPORTANT NOTES: Modifying the Xbox 360 for liquid cooling is not for the faint of heart. Although minimal changes are actually required for the XBox, it can be a labor-intensive task that should only be attempted by experienced individuals. Any manufacturer warranty on the Xbox 360 is voided by installing or using this product.'
    So if you like having a warranty this isnt for you really. You can read more on them at the links in the main body of this news & you can check out some pictures of them as well. ...

    Yes a guy by the name Dano2k0 has taken some of his free time & made a water cooled 360 with the radiator on the inside so theres no unsightly bits hanging off the console. I have to say this one looks rather nice really, though I doubt I'd be taking my tools to my 360 if I had one.

    The hardware mod features:
    * Both CPU (Zern GPU block) and GPU (Koolance GPU-180-H06 block) watercooled with internal Tank-o-Matic mini reservoir, 12v thermaltake pump and DD fill port on the plexi window.
    * 90mm radiator grill mounted to the plexiglass with 4 thin fans
    * Passive heatsinks on many internal chips
    * Tinted plexiglass on one side of the case
    * Custom cut DVD window
    * Custom painted case
    * Blue and UV LEDs all around the case with external switch to disable/enable.
    * Blue ring-of-light, silver power button

    Apparantly this mods going to make it into the official XBox magazine next month so its going to be seen by a good few people. This quote from Dano2k0 may make it in as well but for those that dont read the magazine:
    Firstly I would like to say the reason for starting this project was due to a few reasons. After doing previous watercooled projects etc which were mainly PC projects, I always fancied giving it a go on the 360. I saw others perform watercooled modifications but I wasn't ever very impressed due to them having big external units sat at the side. It had been talked about in the past about having a complete internal watercooling system and everyone doubted it would ever be possible due to the lack of space. This is when i got the idea of pulling off the impossible, and it hit my requirements perfect, a completly portable solution with the cooling needs i was after, in the exact same original sized case.

    It has proven to be quite a challenge doing a complete interal watercooling build with such space restrictions, the whole project was well thought through before being started, and as can be seen through the progress photos it shows quite clearly the steps I took so it may be possible for some people to replicate a simillar modification as the parts are mentioned in my thread.
    All in all an interesting mod, thanks go to Xbox-scene for this news and you can read the full story of this mod in this thread on their forums. ...

    Its an adaptor for putting a LG-8164 (PC) drive into your Xbox as a replacement for an old broken/error prone DVD drive, usefull eh? well ok it wont read original discs yet but for those of you running your homebrew from CD or DVD this is a good thing as it'll bring you faster load times and they are working on a firmware to load original discs.

    The bad news? well you will have to open the drive & do a little soldering but it doesnt look like too much and since the old LG 8163b (the previous drive that could be modded) isnt made anymore this is the next best thing.

    The advantages to using this? I'm glad you asked as here they are:
    * The Xbox disc reading ability will greatly improve
    * Full support; CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R
    * Faster read speeds, which means faster load speeds
    * Cheap solution
    * Compatible with all Xbox versions v1.0-1.6x

    Read more about it & see what soldering is needed at the homepage. If you like the idea you can get them from Yoxbox Europe or patxbox360 Canada & America.

    Yup xboxexpert has applied water cooling to the CPU & GPU of his Xbox 360, its one way to solve the occasional bout of overheating I guess, using these parts:
    * Thermaltake CL-W0042 Rhythm Home Theater DVD Style External Liquid Cooling System
    * KOOLANCE GPU-180-L06 GPU Chipset Heatsink
    * KOOLANCE GPU-180-H06 VGA CARD GPU WATERBLOCK 1/4" ID
    * 10ft of 1/4" ID 3/8" OD PVC Clear Tubing
    Its an interesting looking mod tohugh I'm unsure how many would want to cut their 360 open to do it so it will probably remain the preserve of those like xboxexpert for the time being. You'll find the full story of the mod complete with many pictures over in this Xbox-scene thread. ...

    3. Support all most 100% NDS games.
    4. NDS GBA linkage function.
    5. GBA game save more compatibile because of battery design.
    6. New shell design, more beautiful than SD version.

    Could be usefull for 360 owners who dont have enough space, this is what they say about it:

    'The problem with the Xbox 360’s built-in hard drive is it just isn’t big enough. 12GB of usable space might be sufficient for the casual gamer, but the hardcore joypad juggler needs more. With XSATA, the latest devious device from Datel, you can free up hard drive space by transferring content between your console and your PC. You need never run out of hard drive space on your XB360 again!

    Using your Xbox 360 file manager software such as the free PC app Xplorer 360, you can transfer materials from your console’s hard drive to your PC, using your computer’s hard disc space to store demos, game saves and other such materials you’re not currently using. When you need them again, just transfer back to the XB360’s drive. Once the data is on your PC, you can email anything that’s not locked to your machine or L!VE account to your friends for them to use on their own consoles too.

    XSATA is a plug-and-play device that sits between your XB360’s hard drive and the console itself. There’s no need to remove your XB360’s hard drive to use it. The PC and the 360 can then ‘share’ the HDD so it can remain in place at all times. To connect, just plug the supplied cable into the High Speed USB port on the back of XSATA and into any spare USB port on your PC. XSATA is USB 2.0-compatible, so you can expect ultra-fast transfer speeds of up to 480mbps. It looks great too, with blue laser light giving a real cool edge to your console.

    XSATA for Xbox 360 is in the shops now. As always, it's also available direct from Datel's Codejunkies Shop for a mere £29.99. Get one today - you know it makes sense...'

    NJ has updated his NeoGeoCD Emulator for the PSP, heres whats new:

    slightly dodgy translation of news via worldlingo follows:
    Modification point: 0.2.1

    24bit correcting the trouble which has been frozen with PNG picture reading of the color.

    Modification point: 0.2.0

    The picture of the background and the load picture such as menu was modified in PNG type.
     The 8bit color (256 colors) or the 24bit color (is converted to the 16bit color) the picture is enabled.
     Logo.Png/loading.With the file name, png, EBOOT.Please put on the same folder as PBP.
     Support of BMP type was the intention of leaving for a while, but modifying schedule, 0.2.It abolishes with 0
     It did.
    Because the method of acquiring the date of the system of PSP is finally ascertained, renewing the state data
     It did. Date/the time which is indicated in PSP is recorded that way.
    0.1.It is change of the controller which is added with 9, but each time opening from the menu, as for choosing
     Because with the grapple game and the like time is required a little when you practice making use of VS mode,
     The prayer change button was added to キーコンフィグ. (Most Switch Player under)
    BIOS when starting when it sleeps. When closing the menu, correcting the trouble which has been frozen.
     Problem of freezing is thought with this that it was cancelled completely.
    Battery it tried to indicate the remaining amount in the menu.
    Battery the remaining amount remained and when decreasing, tried to indicate warning message.
    Game picture before the renewing in order to clear the whole picture, it corrected.
    Zlib 1.2.It renewed to 3.

    * It was the schedule which also the adjustment of VSYNC does, but for the time being it came to the point of waiving.
     While with respect to related to operation time, reading the file little by little with the playback of MP3, doing decoding
     It is, but when this reading occurs in VBLANK, depending on the load of reading
     It seems that picture renewal processing occurs the disorder of the picture lately.
     (Unless there is CDDA playback and with is with it tries comparing opening demonstration of ブリキンガー it is understood well
     With you think. Cancelling frame limit with 333MHz, when it executes, even with MP3 playback to be, 150% or more
     Because speed appears, it is found that it is not problem of operation time. )
