    Magic PSP Station (MPS)

    Summary

    Magic PSP Station (MPS) supports solitaire play and two-player hotseat using any single card set from Magic the Gathering. The starter package allows the program to run the set 10th edition, and includes 10th edition preconstructed decks in MPS format.

    ----------

    Updated Installation Instructions

    Overview
    (1) Install the MPS program.
    (2) Install an MPS theme.
    (3) Install sets and decks desired.
    (4) Install the set updates file.

    Step 1. Download and install the program. Copy MPS directory and all of its contents to your choice of GAME directory, depending on your flavor of firmware. Program files may be found here:
    Note: MPS themes and card sets are not distributed with MPS for legal reasons. You must download them separately. All additional required files can be found in the MPS User Content Share Folder.

    Step 2. Download and install the theme. The avatar images may be customized. The image must be 34 by 34 pixels and saved in PNG format. Your avatar should be named myAvatar.png and your opponent's should be named opAvatar.png.

    etc. etc. with the same 3 letter abbraviation as the set.
    Step 4. Download and install the set files update. Many sets' database files have not been updated for use with the latest version of MPS, so to be safe it's recommended that you install the set files update last. This also allows for the quick fix of any set typos or mistakes.

    About creating sets:

    1. Getting card images - MWSData Forum
    2. Image manipulations - For rotations and resizing, try Easy Thumbnails. It's free and easy to use. It can do every step except the image type conversions.
    3. Name.dat files - card names must be in alphabetical order. Names should conform to the Magic Workstation database. Basic lands should read "Forest (1)", "Forest (2)", etc.
    4. Types should be: 0 creature, 1 enchantment, 2 artifact, 3 land, 4 instant, 5 sorcery. Planeswalkers are also 1.
    5. Upload the sets to MediaFire so that they might easily be added to the User Content share folder.

    VideopSpy v3.0

    A spy leaves no trace behind

    pictures private on your PSP. VideopSpy lets you keep your sensitive media
    hidden from prying eyes as inconspicuously as possible.

    Summary

    The problem with blocking your media directories is that it looks suspicious
    (not to mention it's inconvenient). That's is the same problem if you have a
    program that asks for a password. A plugin works but then there's a chance
    it could be triggered accidentally. The solution is to create a harmless
    looking application which is, in reality, an application waiting for your
    password to unlock your hidden videos and/or pictures. The program will
    appear in your XMB as a calculator application with the name "BASIC
    Calculator". The calculator program is fully functional and will stand up to
    inspection. The codes must be entered with a specific key sequence preventing
    accidental activation. This version features an (optional) Instant Access
    mode, bypassing the password and unlocking your media immediately.

    How to use it

    The only way to see your private media is to enter the correct code sequence
    into the calculator (or bypass the code with Instant Access).
    The program
    swaps an alternate directory with the regular media directory, which can have
    the effect of replacing your regular media or just adding the hidden files to
    your regular media, depending on the organization of your memory card.
    Running the program again reverses the process, restoring your memory card to
    the state it was before. The advantage of this renaming trick as opposed to
    moving the files is that the former method is drastically faster.

    Controls

    Cross: Push a key
    Left|Right|Up|Down: Select another key
    Square: Quick [+]
    Triangle: Quick [-]
    Circle: Quick [=]
    Start: Exit program
    LTrig+RTrig+Select: Activate Instant Access

    Installation

    1. Copy the Calculator folder to your homebrew directory (probably \PSP\GAME,
    depending on your firmware flavor and settings). The software is designed to
    be run on custom firmware or 1.0. It can be run on 1.5 firmware, however you
    must convert the eboot to 1.5-compatible format using a program like PSP Brew.
    An alternate eboot is provided which does not display any icons in the menu if
    you want it to be less noticeable.

    2. Choose the folders you will be using, and create the alternate
    directories. Use as many or as few as you like. I recommend using 100MNV01&2
    and 101ANV01&2 and/or PHOTO&2 because they are slightly more secure as they
    don't reside on the root and therefore are less likely to be stumbled upon.

    Mode -> If you're using _____ -> Create _____
    (1) -> \MP_ROOT\100MNV01 -> \MP_ROOT\100MNV02 (mp4s)
    (2) -> \MP_ROOT\100ANV01 -> \MP_ROOT\100ANV02 (h264 mp4s)
    (3) -> \MP_ROOT\101ANV01 -> \MP_ROOT\101ANV02 (h264 mp4s)
    (4) -> \VIDEO -> \VIDEO2 (both)
    (5) -> \PSP\PHOTO -> \PSP\PHOTO2
    (6) -> \PICTURE -> \PICTURE2

    3. Put the files you want hidden into the new directories you just made.

    4. Open the "program.dat" file with any basic text editor. This is the
    configuration file. This is where you chose what modes you want to use and
    the pass codes you want. The comments will guide you where to edit. After
    you've set up your modes, you can delete the comments for increased security,
    though you might want to keep a backup. There are also two additional modes
    with affect the behavior of the program:

    (7) Instant Access Mode - Allows the user to press L Trigger + R Trigger +
    Select simultaneously instead of entering the code.
    (8) Authentic Mode - Uses a more authentic display for the calculator.

    Usage - To hide (or unhide) your private media

    1. Run the program
    2a. (Optional) Activate Instant Access and skip to step 6
    2b. Enter the first code, for example "420"
    3. Hit the [=] button
    4. Enter the second code, for example "80"
    5. Hit the [=] button a second time.
    6. A fake error message will flash on the screen for a second. Below the
    error message, at the bottom of the screen, it will show the numbers one
    through six. The active modes will show

    VideoPSpy v2

    Wow, I just made this for myself initially. I really had no idea how many people would be interested in this. I got alot of requests for this. This release handles all videos directories and does photos as well.

    Summary
    The purpose of this application is to enable you to keep private videos and/or pictures on your PSP as inconspicuously as possible. The problem with hiding your media directories is that it looks suspicious. Which is the same problem if you have a program that asks for a password. The solution is to create a harmless looking application which is in reality an application waiting for your password to unlock your videos and/or pictures.

    Description
    This is a very simple application which anyone could write. But since I couldn't find one quite like it, in my own fashion, I made one. The program will appear as a calculator application with the name "BASIC Calculator" in your XMB. The calculator program is functional, it's code is copied (with permission) from the calculator code included in Shine's Lua Player 0.20 with a few minor alterations. The only way to see your private media is to enter the correct code sequence into the calculator. The program swaps an alternate directory with the regular media directory, which can have the effect of replacing your regular media or just adding the hidden files to your regular media, depending on the organization of your memory card. Running the program again reverses the process, restoring your memory card to the state it was before.

    Changes
    Version 2 includes the option to run in various non-exclusive modes. (Note that version 1 ran in mode 1).
    Mode 1 - swaps your videos from the \MP_ROOT\100MNV01 video directory
    Mode 2 - swaps your videos from the \MP_ROOT\101ANV01 video directory
    Mode 3 - swaps your videos from the \VIDEO directory
    Mode 4 - swaps your photos

    Install
    1. Copy the program directories to your \PSP\GAME or \PSP\GAME150 folder, depending on your flavor of firmware and settings.
    2. Mode 1 - Create a directory \MP_ROOT\100MNV02 and put the videos you wish to keep private in that folder.
    Mode 2 - Create a directory \MP_ROOT\101ANV02 and put the videos you wish to keep private in that folder.
    Mode 3 - Create a directory \VIDEO2 and put the videos you wish to keep private in that folder.
    Mode 4 - Create a directory \PSP\PHOTO2 and put the pictures you wish to keep private in that folder.

    3. Open the file \PSP\GAME\calculator\script.lua. The first two lines read
    Constant1 = 4
    Constant2 = 20
    Change these values to the values you wish to use for your code. The first one is entered first, followed by the second. For example, the default setting requires you enter a 4, then 20.
    4. The next three lines read
    mode1 = true
    mode2 = false
    mode3 = false
    mode4 = false
    Set each mode you want to run to true and each mode you don't want to run to false.

    Usage:
    To unhide your private videos
    1. Run the program
    2. Enter the first code, for example "4"
    3. Hit the "=" button
    4. Enter the second code, for example "20"
    5. Hit the "=" button a second time.
    A message will flash on the screen "Cheat enabled" and the application will exit.
    To hide your private videos
    Run the program and enter the code sequence again.

    Calculator usage
    Enter Cross
    Exit Triangle/Start

    Thanks to
    Shine & Nevyn for their Lua Player, Cool for his Lua Player mod, and wiki.ps2dev.org for having great reference material. Special thanks to Shine for letting me use his calculator code in this release. Any users who provided feedback and suggestions.
