MaTiAz has done it again. The PSP scene has a new exploit. It is only for Fat PSP's as of now, but a Slim version is on the way. Homebrew for the 3000? We will have to wait. MaTiAz says:
    "I'll just quote the readme:

Hello World for PSP firmware 5.03

The days of TIFF based exploits aren't long gone, at least not yet
Here's the third TIFF exploit for the PSP, enjoy.

Just copy the files to the memory stick root, disconnect USB and go to photo menu.
Don't dismiss the exploit even if it doesn't work on the first time, it's *very* unstable.
You might get it working on the first time, but you might as well have to try it 20 times!

The h.bin is loaded to 0x08800000, and the text address of paf.prx is passed in $a0 to the
binary code. You can then trick out function imports, like for example sceDisplayWaitVblankStart:

    sceDisplayWaitVblankStart = (void*)(paf_addr+0x15F068);

This release works _only_ on fat PSPs. The slim version will come out later.

I'm not gonna include a list of credits here, I'll just forget some important names and then
I'll be screwed :P The people who need to be credited will know it anyway.

    Have fun!

P.S. Just wait a few days, there's a bit of awesomeness coming up.

    - MaTiAz"

    Edit:

Here is the correct h.bin. An understandable mistake. MaTiAz quoted:

"Yeah, the release was messed, I put the wrong h.bin there. It's fixed now, redownload it Thanks for pointing it out."

Here is a new iR Shell update, enjoy. You can find a new feature summary below. For a complete list and their usage description, refer to the "Release Note" document in the archive.

    New feature summary:
    - Support Playstation Network downloable games & demos.

    - Interlaced TV support has been added for PSP slim. Games & homebrews launched via iR Shell will inherit the iR Shell TV mode. Most games will run at full speed with default CPU clock.

    - For slim PSP TV out, added an option to control the audio output to PSP speaker. This will be useful for docking station with TV out & charging capabilities.

    - Added an option to disable Memory Stick MagicGate support. This is meant to be used for PhotoFast microSD to MSPD adapter, or other similar non-MagicGate MS. By disabling the MagicGate support, you will no longer experience the annoying pause in XMB, such as turning on the PSP, switching off USB mode from XMB, quiting game/homebrew back to XMB, entering XMB video directory, etc.

    - Added connection timeout support for nethostfs.

    - For IR learning remote, added the ability to abort the learning process without waiting for timeout.

    - Support user provided font files.

    - Plus various bug fixes.

    Special thanks to:
    - Dark_AleX for the M33 custom firmwares and his assistance during iR Shell development.
    - Tyranid and other developers in ps2dev.org for creating the pspsdk.
    - F34R, Osgeld, StoneCut and other moderators who keep irshell.org running and providing technical support to the community.

I used this method for a DC based 5.00 M33-3 because, it does not change DC 7, everything works, and uses the same files. (I only renamed one) I only added the 2nd menu which simply runs Alex's 5.00 M33-3 installer just like you would from the XMB. You will need the 5.00 SCE updater in the ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ folder. You can also take screenshots in the 4.01 version of DC 7 only by pressing the note key.

Just copy the files to the root of your MS.

    Enjoy

    Edit:

    Sorry, messed up

All the file are correct just the directory structure is messed up. The file is double packed.

If you want this feel free to download it:

The directory structure got messed up, This is the proper structure. I'm very sorry for the mix up. Don't not worry the error will not effect DC 7.

Just copy MS_ROOT to your MS.

    A few tips:

1: Download the 5.00 EBOOT.PBP, rename it 500.PBP, and copy it into the UPDATE folder just like a M33 update.

2: Do not perform any NAND operations under the 5.00 menu, it should work, but I do not have a Slim at this time to fully test this.

    Enjoy
    Sorry for the mix up.

jas0nuk updated PRXdecrypter to version 2.1

A few months ago I internally updated it to 2.1 fixing a few issues such as the GZ error, KL3E was added to the last public release but I'm not sure if it is still working on 5.00 as it uses a RAM search to hook the function.

Anyways here is 2.1 unofficial update with the 5.00 keys added just now, and the changelog as far as I can remember it :P

    Change Log:

    - Latest decryption keys (up to 5.01)
    - GZIP failure bug fixed on 3.80+
    - Now bruteforces the XOR key for updater modules (appears in blue at the right of the screen), takes a longer but now it will work on all future updaters until Sony change their updater security
    - User is now asked whether they want to decrypt updater modules which have just been extracted
    - User is now asked whether they want to overwrite files that are read-only before saving them

This uses a modded version of the tga injector, but you don't have to use tga's.

To create a transparent wave, is not easy. If you want to try a tga make sure is it in grey scale mode. DO NOT use :Photoshop, only gimp will work. The wave show above is a PNG, renamed. I have also use 17kb of "FF" data, and gotten some nice a wave.

The trick to the hole thing is, that the wave will not look, or act the same on any other themes. Keep playing with data until you get something that works with your theme.

I'm not sure, how else to help.

In short, save some data as a tga, and make sure the file is not over 17kb.

    Enjoy ...

This is a build of WiiTCPLoadGUI v0.02 that uses free QT4 Frameworks. Trolltech compiled framework is not free, only the source code version for open source projects is.

WiiTCPLoadGUI currently only supports Intel system, the framework I compiled is Intel also. The framework is the very minimum needed to run WiiTCPLoadGUI, and will support newer builds of WiiTCPLoadGUI, so this is a one time download.

For problems with WiiTCPLoadGUI goto the project page.
If you have any problem with QT4, or this build of v0.02 let me know. Please check the project page first too see if the problem you have is known to this version, if so it is out of my control.

    Note:

The version on the project page will not work with the free framework.

    Requirements:

    • OS X 10.5+
    • Intel Mac
    • A Wii

    Install:

    1. Download QT4-min.zip
    2. Unpack
    3. Run installer
    4. Download wiitcpload-v.0.02.zip
    5. Unpack
    6. Copy to your Applications folder
    7. Run, and enjoy
