The site known as DCEmu UK has had a rough few years and mostly my doing, trying to do too much rather than just focus on emulation and homebrew, too many ads, too many sites and sadly for me not coping at all well with the loss via cancer of a family member so very close to me.

However things will change, first off I need to make dcemu lean again and that means massively condensing sites into just a few, same with forums.

I also need to try and make the site and forums mobile friendly, which means going into the unknown a bit for me as we use a clever system that uses vbulletin to post our news.

I need to make sure that the sites/forums have more social integration, facebook, twitter etc etc

Im also going to rebrand DCEmu and get back to newsposting daily but without encroaching too much on my real life.

So a new Name for DCEmu, a slimline site featuring all the news you want but only for homebrew, emulation and hacking, little to no ads bar the ones that pay for the server, a cleansing of the forums, a new look forum.

It will all happen as soon as I can do it. ...

Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony all saw record revenue for their current-gen console hardware last month, NPD has reported.
Hardware sales for November 2015 reached $1.12bn. That's up 11 per cent compared to the same period last year, driven by a 14 per cent increase in console hardware revenue – which offset a significant drop in handheld sales.
"Growth was driven by console hardware, up 14 percent, which offset a 31 percent decline in portable hardware,” NPD's Liam Callahan stated. "November 2015 marked the best month ever in total unit sales for 8th generation consoles (Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U), surpassing sales of December 2014 (now second-highest), and November 2014 (now third-highest)."
"Within console hardware sales there were dramatic differences by console generation as 8th generation console sales rose by 22 percent in dollars, 7th generation sales dropped by 76 percent in dollars, which is sharper than the year-to-date decline of 57 percent. In November 2015, 8th generation sales had 93 percent share of overall hardware sales, a 9 percentage point increase from last November."
PS4 and Xbox One sales continue to outpace their predecessors as well.
“After 25 months, the combined sales for the PS4 and the XBO are 47 percent higher than the combined sales for 25 months of PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware sales,” Callahand added.
The same couldn't be said about retail software sales, which fell 7 per cent during the month despite the release of Star Wars Battlefront and a new Call of Duty offering.
"New physical software sales decreased by 7 percent as portable software sales drop 66 percent with console software sales down a modest 1 percent,” Callahan said. “Within consoles, 8th generation software sales increased by 37 percent, and largely offset the decrease in spending for 7th generation consoles, which decreased by 60 percent.”
Overall, US sales hit $2.47bn during the stretch – a 2 per cent increase versus November 2014.
