A new report from Sensor Tower has put Mario Kart Tour's day-one downloads at over 20 million, double Apptopia's estimate from earlier today and nearly triple the day-one downloads of Super Mario Run.
Additionally, Sensor Tower reports that player spending has already reached $1 million -- approximately one-fourth of launch-day spending on top Nintendo mobile revenue performer, Fire Emblem Heroes. This does not include revenue from the $4.99 Gold Pass subscription, due to a free two-week trial offered to everyone who subscribes.

Around 3 hours ago, pwn20wnd who is one of unc0ver’s authors (together with Sam Bingner) took the community by surprise and tweeted out that unc0ver 3.5.0 got released with support for iOS 12.4 which is the latest version of iOS meaning that it’s obviously signed and ready to be installed.
Unlike other times when a new version of iOS got jailbroken, this time it wasn’t because a new exploit, making use of a previously disclosed vulnerability, got released but because sock_port (the exploit by Jake James used to jailbreak iOS 12.1.3-12.2) got unpatched on iOS 12.4 (released on 22 July) after it was patched on iOS 12.3.
Apparently, this security blunder was discovered by Ahmed Aldeab 2 days ago and after it was verified by leading jailbreak developers, pwn20wnd got to work by updating and testing a new release of unc0ver presumably before Apple becomes aware of what happened and pushes a new version of iOS to patch the issue.

In many hacking scenes, there’s a constant cat and mouse game going on with vulnerabilities being patched as soon as possible to thwart hacks and jailbreaks from being released. Now, the proverbial cat in the iOS jailbreaking scene has caught up a tad further as iOS 12.2 (and 12.1.3/4) are jailbroken thanks to nedwill’s tfp0 exploit!

Regarding updating, it’s recommended to wait a while before updating to iOS 12.2 from a jailbroken version of iOS namely because of two things which are:
◾ Ongoing testing on the Fortnight bug which affects restores to iOS 12.1.x with the iOS 12.2/3 SEP. It is currently unknown whether a restore to iOS 12.2 with the iOS 12.3.1 (current) SEP is affected by this bug or not◾ The bug consists of the inability to get past the lock screen after 2 weeks from the restore date. Apparently, it affects all devices and is only triggered if you have a passcode enbaled (Touch ID/Face ID require a passcode to function so if you have those enabled, the bug will be triggered as well)

◾Not all tweaks and tools are updated with support for iOS 12.2 so it’s a good idea to at least wait a week or two before updating. Furthermore, unc0ver 3.3.0 is still in pre-release stage so there’s a higher chance of something going wrong and ending up in a bootloop
◾If you decide to update, make sure you have SHSH blobs for iOS 12.2 and your n0nce set in case of any issues occuring!

If you’re on iOS 12.3/12.3.1, you’re out of luck but some developments may occur after iOS 12.4’s release as it will most probably patch some kernel vulnerabilities
On a concluding note, there’s even more good news relating to iOS jailbreaking as pwn20wnd will be bundling @jakesashacks’ kernel-level jailbreak detection bypass named Shadowize RootFS with unc0ver 3.4.0 which will be released after iOS 12.1.3-12.2 support is stabilised.

In its patch notes for Fortnite today, Epic Games announced it was adjusting how cross-platform play pools are set up by default in the game.
Before, the game's cross-platform capabilities put Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android players all in the same matchmaking pools for games. Now, it seems Epic has opted to divvy them up to improve the game experience for those on Switch and mobile.
Now, Xbox One and PS4 players will be grouped together by default, while Switch users will be grouped with mobile. This does not apply if players are in cross-platform parties already. Fortnite will still allow cross-platform play across all platforms for those already in parties or who accept an invite to one. So, if a Nintendo Switch user is in a party with a friend on Xbox One, they can still play together.

Ahead of GDC, Microsoft has announced that Xbox Live services will be coming to iOS and Android.
That includes features such as achievements, gamerscore, friend lists, family settings and Xbox Live security measures. Developers are now able to implement these into their smartphone titles.
"If you watch what we've done, especially with Minecraft, over the past few years, we've taken Xbox Live to as many platforms as Minecraft is on as possible," says Kareem Choudhry, Microsoft CVP of Gaming Cloud. "We're uniting those communities together with a consistent, singular experience for all of those gamers.
"We're now making that available to developers with our new mobile SDK for developers, which is available for iOS and Android. With one sign-in, iOS and Android games will have a consistent experience with fan favourite Xbox Live features such as achievements, gamerscore, hero stats, friends lists, club memberships, and even family settings -- no matter what device you're playing on.
"All of those features will be made available to mobile game developers, whether they're looking for the entire experience that we offer in Minecraft, or Solitaire, but also standalone features like achievements or gamerscore. Xbox Trusted Identity Network supports log-in, privacy, online safety, and child accounts. All things around safety, security, and privacy that we hold near and dear."
However, the company has nothing to report in terms of these services coming to Nintendo Switch. Microsoft was expected to announce a similar tie-up with Nintendo's machine, as detailed in a GDC talk description.

When it comes to the debate between Android and iPhones, things aren't black and white. There are diehard fans on both sides. There are others who switch between operating systems based on the features they are looking for at the time.

Still, iPhone users are gravitating to Androids more and more. Many are happy with their decision but, there are some wonderful iOS features that they wished their new phones had.

This is what we're talking about today, the iOS features that we want to see in Android:

    AirDrop alternative
This is one of the best features in the iOS universe. It gives users the ability to share information quickly between all devices. While it isn’t the most flashy feature, it provides users with a practical solution to a common problem.

Still, sharing information quickly isn’t the best thing you can do with your smartphone. Don’t believe it? Check out Heart Bingo. Not only do you get the chance to win some cold hard cash, but their bonus offers are also pretty great. Just don’t forget your Heart Bingo promo code 2019. It’s the best way ensure you get more bang for your buck.

    Built-in screen recorder
Having quick access to the screen recorder on iPhones saves a lot of effort and time. There are some Android apps that can provide the same utility, however, it just makes things a little more complicated. This isn’t that big of an issue but sometimes it's the nuances that make the difference.

    Gesture navigation
Apple’s new navigation gesture method (as seen on the iOS 11) is something to be admired. While Android’s navigation features aren’t that bad. They’re not as polished as they could be.

Apple is known for their dedication when creating new features. The same level of quality is seen in iOS gestures. It’s slick, smooth, and innovative.

    Universal media controls
Android users know that things can get a little shaky when several media apps are running at the same time. The iOS Control Center, however, is intuitive in its handling of media playback. It allows you to easily access your media applications from the lock screen or by swiping down.

    Real face-scanning support
iPhones have one of the best (if not the best) 3D face scanning capabilities on the market. No other smartphone can match it. That isn’t to say that fingerprint readers are obsolete, however, Apple’s face unlocking feature is significantly more secure than this option.

Those who’ve made the switch from iOS to Android can attest to the need for certain features that are only found on Apple devices. But, Androids are great phones - there's no doubt about it.

Love to play the many roulette games on your iPhone? Are you a loyal Apple fan?
Apple is one of the biggest companies in the world. It was an interesting year for them in 2018 but Apple is looking forward to making a bigger statement in 2019. You may know Apple as a hardware company but that is all about to change.
In March 2018, Apple unveiled a new iPad, in September it revealed new iPhones and later in October some new Macs were released in the market. However, Apple has come out to reveal that 2019 will be the year of the Mac. This is because it is about to release one of its most powerful Mac's ever.
Here is a look at some of the changes that are about to rock our market from Apple.
#1. Launch of the AirPods 2
There have been rumours going around that Airpods 2 will be making their way into the market this year. Honestly, they are the most popular Apple accessories which most consumers are waiting to have. Although they will be a bit more expensive than the originals AirPods 2 will be better. Analysts believe that they will have the following features-

    1. Wireless charging.
    2. Smaller than the current model.
    3. Water resistant.
    4. Noise cancellation.
    5. Siri support.

#2. Launch of New Apple Watches and Over the Ear headphones

Last year was quite a big year for Apple watches. Consumers can now boast of larger screens and ECG. Therefore this year might not be quite big for the wearables. This is because Apple usually sits out a redesign after one year.

There are also rumours that Apple will release over the ear headphones which they will sell through Beats. Moreover, they have plans to release a new Home pod speaker.

#3. You Need to Pay for the Apple TV Subscription

There have long reports that Apple could one day launch their own TV's. However, in 2019, it is expected that Apple's video streaming service will launch in the first half of the year. The idea is to mix Apple's TV shows and movies with content services from HBO and Stars.

There is more good news to this announcement, because if you own an iPhone, Apple TV or Mac then you can stream Apple videos for free. Sorry Android users.

    #4. Mac Pro

In April last year, Apple confirmed that a new Mac Pro will be released this year. This new model will be more powerful than the iMac and iMac Pro. It is a powerful cylinder desktop computer which does not have a monitor like the others. However, the new design is still unconfirmed so you just have to wait.

There are other obvious Apple products which will be released such as the new iPhone later in September, iMac, iPads and the new iOS 13 which will be released later in June during the WWDC 2019.

Which of these do you like the most? Let us know which Apple product you are anxious to get in your hands.

The awesome multi system supporting emulator has a new release, heres what systems this release is for starting with PC, Apple Mac, Android, IOS, Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, PSVita, Xbox Original, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Raspberry PI:

RetroArch 1.7.3 has just been released! Grab it here. This latest version has also been uploaded to the Google Play Store. If you’d like to show your support, consider donating to the team. Check here in order to learn more.
RetroArch now has a WIMP GUI, powered by the powerful multimedia framework Qt! This feature is available currently for Windows and Linux. macOS users will have to wait a while longer for this feature to arrive to their platform.

The WIMP GUI works as a companion to the main RetroArch window. You bring it into view by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard. From there, you can do many tasks:

    • Select a game from any playlist
    • Browse the file system or any attached media storage device and load a game.
    • Scan directories for content and generate system playlists.
    • Associate cores to an entire playlist or associate only one entry of a playlist to a specific core

Some things we’d like to note:

    • This has been the combined work of bparker and Tatsuya79 that have worked tirelessly on this for a month. We are aware of several features that we’d like to implement, such as playlist editing, grid view layouts, etc.
    • We are open to feedback on the GUI.
    • You will likely not see this WIMP GUI on Android or iOS (or any game console for that fact) anytime soon. WIMP interfaces don’t lend themselves well to devices that rely on touchscreen or gamepad-based controls.
    • (For Linux users) The Qt GUI should definitely work on X11. If you’d like to run it on Wayland, make sure you have the appropriate packages installed for Qt5 in your package manager. Be aware that Qt 5 cannot gracefully fail right now in case a platform module/plugin is missing from your system. This means that if you invoke the companion UI by pressing F5 on Wayland, and for whatever reason the platform module that Qt relies on in order to work on Wayland is not there, there is no way for RetroArch to gracefully fail there and just not show the companion UI. There will be a crash instead. Unfortunately we have talked to some Qt developers and they see no other way around this for now. The same situation applies for DRM/KMS right now. If we can find a better solution to this, we will certainly return to it.
    • (For mac Users) You will have to wait a bit longer for this to arrive to the Mac port unfortunately. Hopefully that wait is not too long.
    • We would like to still improve initial bootup times for the companion UI. Right now, on first initial startup, it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds (depending on your harddrive and its performance), but on subsequent boots should only take 2 seconds or less for first startup. Hopefully by resorting to Link Time Code Generation and other avenues we can shave off some more seconds off this boot time.

Those of you who own iPhone 5/5C and iPad 4 devices will be happy to hear that H3lix jailbreak (10.x;A6) has been released, heres some notes:

H3lix is a jailbreak for all versions of iOS 10 (including iOS 10.3.3) for 32-bit (Apple A6 hardware in this case) iDevices. This means that your 32-bit Apple A6 devices are jailbroken for life so you needn’t worry again about losing your jailbreak by messing something up or sheer bad luck. H3lix jailbreak supports the following devices:
    • All models of the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C
    • All models of the iPad 4
    • This jailbreak does not support 64-bit devices (Apple A7 and newer) so don’t beg tihmstar and s1guza about them. That being said, the v0rtex exploit works on all devices running iOS 10.x and some devs are working on supporting 64-bit devices running iOS 10.3.x!
