For those who know me know ive been a fan of emulation for 20 years or more, the reason i started a videogames website was purely because i like to play emulators of old consoles on a single device.

Recently the homebrew/emulation scene has been stagnant, no real breakthroughs means that the best way is to buy a device that is made for emulation fans like myself, i reviewed the JXD S7300 Android Tablet and for a fan like me i loved it. The Android tablet was for me perfect, the mixing of old style controls and touchscreen inside an Android OS and with Gamecenter X you could download games onto your console with no messing around, the console/tablet game with Android/N64/Megadrive/Arcade/GBA and Nes Emulators with games built in, beyond awesome.

But JXD since then have brought out a new and improved JXD S7800b Gaming Tablet which features PS1, MAME, Dreamcast, N64, NeoGeo, Atari, NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, SEGA Master System, SEGA Mega Drive, CPS1, CPS2, Amiga, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum Emulation to name just a few, am i salivating ?, hell yes.

    The JXD S7800b Gaming Tablet has a 7" 1280x800 IPS 5 Point Multi-Touch Capacitive Screen, RockChip RK3188 QuadCore 1.8GHz CPU - 2GB DDR3 RAM - 8GB Memory, Network Wi-Fi(802.11 b/g/n), External Ethernet,3G with Dongle and runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean OS.

So this Android Tablet runs one of the latest versions of the Android OS plus comes built in with all them emulators and you can do what you would expect from a normal Android Tablet.

If i can snag one for review ill put it through its paces but for now check out the JXD S7800B at Funstock in the UK

If you've wanted an affordable 8-inch Windows tablet from ASUS, your only recent option has been the VivoTab Note 8. While that's no doubt a fine machine, you might not want to pay extra for pen input if you don't need it. Thankfully, you don't have to any more; ASUS has quietly launched the VivoTab 8, a close cousin to the Note 8 that drops the stylus and digitizer. In many ways, it's now a MeMO Pad 8 running Microsoft's software instead of Google's. You'll still find a 1.33GHz Atom processor, a 1,280 x 800 display and a 2-megapixel front camera, but a few things have switched up to accommodate Windows while keeping the price in check. The newer slate has a larger 32GB of expandable storage and ships with 2GB of RAM in some regions instead of the MeMO Pad's 1GB, but it drops back to a 2-megapixel rear cam -- sorry, you won't be capturing any photographic masterpieces here. ASUS hasn't revealed any launch plans yet. However, it's safe to presume that the VivoTab 8 will save you at least some cash versus the Note 8's original $330 sticker.

Have you been holding out for a price cut on the Surface 2 before taking the plunge? You now have your chance. Microsoft has slashed $100 off the price of its second-gen Windows RT tablet, regardless of the model you buy. It now costs as little as $349 for a base 32GB WiFi edition, while splurging on the 64GB LTE slate is slightly more reasonable at $579. Just be aware that the folks in Redmond aren't doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. The Surface 2 is nearly a year old -- Microsoft is very likely clearing inventory, whether it's ahead of a new model or just to focus more attention on the Surface Pro 3.

The Kinect 2.0 may have split from the Xbox One, but it will be ready to find new love with PC partners soon. A Microsoft Store listing highlights a July 15 release date for the Xbox logo-less, PC-compatible 3D camera, meaning we can put Xbox head Phil Spencer's belief that people will still buy the Kinect to the test as soon as next week.

The PC version of the Kinect 2 boasts a price tag of a not-insignificant $200 - $100 more than the price difference between a Kinect-less Xbox One and an Xbox One with the peripheral pack-in.
