Heres some good news for PSvita users:

Last Monday, we saw the unexpected release of a new firmware for the PlayStation Vita. The biggest question that seemed to run through people's minds was, "did The Flow's exploit get patched?" Now, it appears that he's gone through and tested out his new unreleased hack for 3.67 on the latest firmware, and it has been confirmed that the upcoming exploit has not been patched out, and The Flow already managed to get Henkaku on it. This doesn't mean we'll be getting a 3.68 hack for certain, but it does mean that the door is open for future exploits on this firmware.

Though this is good news, those that want homebrew on their Vita shouldn't update just yet. As always, if you have the coveted 3.60 FW, stay on it, and if you're above that, it's still unwise to update to 3.68 as of yet. While The Flow is hard at work providing players will an exploit for higher firmwares, and there's a possibility of a 3.68 FW hack being possible at some point, there's still no scheduled timeframe for the 3.67 exploit, and he's not announced anything other than his recent findings in regards to 3.68.

Recently i hacked my unused PSvita and PStv and now they are both awesome, heres an app you will use in both:

If you a PSVita fan, you know 'bubbles' is the best way to launch your 'homebrew', well good news, the ABM team is back with v5.00:
This useful application allows you to make personalized bubbles with 'icon' and 'title' of your PSP content (HBS/PSX/ISO/CSO) quick and easy, using the 'LMAN' plugin, forgetting completely of the tedious and long manual method.

Adrenaline Bubbles Manager (ABM) purpose is to create the bubbles and necessary links to boot chosen psp iso/cso/pbp files with adrenaline v6.x through Lman's plugin adrbblbooter, all done within the ps vita, but, ABM does not change cpu speed, any issue related with that should be mentioned to Lman or the_flow[

    Instructions

    1. Install Adrenaline v6.1 Make sure Adrenaline works correctly, to be able to boot Adrenaline opening it just once, it is highly recommended to add the following line below the kernel line in ur0:tai/config.txt.
      *KERNEL
      ux0:app/PSPEMUCFW/sce_module/adrenaline_kernel.skprx
    2. After taking care of step 1, then you can start using Adrenaline Bubbles Manager to create bubbles for your PSP/PSX content.

    Changelog 5.00

    • Added submenu for Extra Setting.
    • Added ability to inject images to ABM bubbles.

Even though this seems a great release ill miss it for obvious reasons, heres the news:

TheFloW has released 3.65 HENkaku Enso Updater for PS Vita handhelds currently on firmware 3.60 which updates to a custom firmware with henkaku based on 3.65. This gives you the possibility to access the PSN store (as long as Sony allow it) and play games released for firmwares 3.61-3.65. The drawbacks are that you will be unable to downgrade back to 3.60 if needed, and homebrew only compatible with 3.60 will fail on 3.65 (needs to be ported first). Also, if you for some reason end up with a semi-brick and need to reinstall the firmware you will be stuck on 3.65 without the ability to run homebrew."

The Flow is the god of the PSVita Hacking scene and with that it looks like HENkaku/taiHEN (with Ensō) for PlayStation Vita v3.65 will soon be here, heres the info:

The PlayStation Vita Scene is finally moving forward from the v3.60 standard, but sadly you can't yet install it directly on newer firmwares.
What do we know right now and what will get get?

A couple of hours ago, TheFlow told us that he was able to find the offsets to run HENkaku Ensō on firmware 3.65 thanks to @Mathieulh’s devkit. After finding the offsets, TheFlow took a leap of faith and ran the Ensō code on his PSTV which fortunately, booted up into firmware 3.65 with HENkaku enabled!

This means that TheFlow has successfully ported Ensō to firmware 3.65 and you’ll be able to enjoy games that require firmware 3.61-3.65 (not the 3.67) pretty soon IF YOU HAVE A PSVITA CURRENTLY RUNNING FW 3.60.

As TheFlow decided not to release the actual exploit chain, presumably so that Sony can’t patch it for higher FWs, this hack will work like some earlier PSP CFWs in which some firmware modules are written before reboot. As a result of this, you won’t be able to hack consoles that are currently running FW 3.61-3.65 just yet.

TheFlow has also cautioned against reinstalling the 3.65 PUP (firmware file) or erasing HENkaku when using this hack. Both these things can’t be done by accident through normal usage so regular users will be safe.

What should I do and not do?

Right now, this is what you should or shouldn’t be doing:

    • If you’re on firmware 3.60, don’t update to firmware 3.65 (or 3.61-3.67 for that matter)
    • If you’re on firmware 3.61-3.65, don’t update further. The lower the firmware, the better your chances of getting a hack are.
    • If you’re on firmware 3.60, stay there. Lower firmwares should preferably be updated to FW 3.60 via the DNS method if you want to hack your device.

Right now, all you can do is wait a little. TheFlow has promised a release by the end of March and is already accepting bubble designs for the CFW updater bubble he’ll be releasing for FW 3.60 soon.

VitaShell is the go-to file manager utility for the PSVita by TheFlow, heres whats new in this release:

    • An ad hoc transfer feature was added. This lets you send and receive files and folders between your PSVita/PSTV devices close by!New menu options (send/receive) are now present in VitaShell
    • A bug was fixed in which files and folders in archives weren’t properly counted.
    • The controls (the buttons you use to control the UI, maybe?) code was improved.

Some news for the Vita Hacking scene that is exciting folks is the ReNpDrm by CelesteBlue, heres some more details:

ReNpDrm is a kernel plugin for HENkaku/taiHEN-enabled PSVita/PSTV consoles by CelesteBlue (ePSP Bubble Installer and co-developer of Firmware Reinstaller). ReNpDrm constantly refreshes the system’s activation files so that it achieves its purpose of granting unrestricted access to PSN.This plugin will bring along the following:

    • Activation for unactivated consoles (or consoles that Sony rudely deactivated..) so that you can play your legally purchased digital games again!
    • Full access to PSN will be restored without the possibility of losing your activation files.
    • You will be able to purchase and download games from PSN again so you needn’t pirate games if you want to run them off your memory card! This is particularly great if you wish to benefit from the somewhat regular PSN sales!
    • Applications such as LiveTweet can also be downloaded so you can get access to the slim suite of smartphone-esque applications again!
Unrestricted PSN access will soon be a thing again!

This plugin doesn’t bring this stuff along:

    • You won’t be able to run games that require FW 3.61 or above but you can download them.
    • It won’t let you download games you don’t own (just in case you thought you could steal off PSN..)

A new custom firmware has been released for the PSVita this release only supports 3.60 firmware:

HENkaku Ensō is the evolution of the HENkaku jailbreak that opened the PS Vita and PSTV to a new universe of customization and user created content. Install it once and your Vita will be permanently hacked--no need to apply it after each reboot. Just enable HENkaku, install the following vpk, launch it, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Does this work with firmware 3.61/3.63/3.65? No.
How do I use this "vpk"? You need to install HENkaku first. Then open up molecularShell and press "Start" to enable the FTP server. Then connect using a FTP client and copy the vpk to "ux0:/data". On your Vita, browse to "ux0:/data" and select the vpk to install it. Then you should have a new bubble in LiveArea which you can launch to install ensō.
