I actually have a firmware5.05 ps4 so this is exciting news for me:
- It has just got a whole lot more fun and easier to setup your v5.05 PlayStation 4 console to be fully exploitable with the latest goodies!X-Project (XMB SELF HOST PROJECT) aims to be the AIO customizable tool box for all your payload needs. This project is a joint venture between myself and Leeful and is the evolution and culmination of my now discontinued 4.55 self host packs and leefuls current exploit hosts bundled into something for 5.05 which was far more dynamic than anything I had done before
ADDED MEDIA PLAYER!:
- Drop Down File Selector.
- Plays MP4 only currently (need to work on more formats)
- Play, Pause, Stop, Skip, Restart
- 2 preset resolutions + full screen to suit your TV.
- Dark mode toggle, Mute toggle.
- Playback info (file location, name, time remaining/total time etc)
- Companion BAT for easy alphabetized playlist generation (must run after new files are added to /MEDIA/ folder)
- Just host your MP4 files from /MEDIA/ folder within xproject (easy to customize to share files from elsewhere depending on your host method)
Other Changes:
- Lodash finally fixed thanks to @Leeful
- D-Pad navigation added as requested (L/R works perfectly U/D needs work)
- GTA menus rewritten by @Leeful (now detect hen and load before payload (same goes for BO3/AFR payloads)
- Slight restyle for uniformity thanks to @Leeful

- ADDED IH RTM EDITOR 1.0.0.0
- ADDED Community Trainer 1.0.0.0

PlayStation VR sales have apparently picked up the pace in the past year. Sony today announced that it has sold through more than 3 million units since the PlayStation 4 peripheral's debut in October of 2016.
After enjoying sales of 915,000 over its first few months, the PSVR installed base seemed to stall, ending its first year on sale with "one million-plus" players. The acceleration in sales since then was likely boosted in March of this year, when Sony cut the price of the PSVR to $299, making it the least expensive of the high-end VR headsets on the market.
Beyond celebrating the hardware milestone, Sony also announced that it has sold through 21.9 million PSVR games and experiences, with a total catalog of almost 340 games and experiences on sale worldwide. The 10 most-played PSVR games follow below.

This is very interesting news for me as i have a 5.05 ps4 firmware:
- With a 'web cache' exploit, means you only have to load up 'payloads' via PC or ESP device once, then you are forever 'exploited' on your PS4 v5.05 unless you decide to 'wipe out the cache', nah, whom would do that silly idea, check out the details and video below:All credits go to somebody called ps4dev for his comment on github about using Webbrowser application cache (https://github.com/Al-Azif/ps4-exploit-host/issues/108).
To install offline exploit, you have to:
- For 5.05 PS4 : go to https://renpdrm.customprotocol.com/PS4/505/
- For 4.55 : soon.
- For 4.05 : soon.
- For 1.76 : only devs have this firmware so no need.
PS4 Exploits - No need for an ESP or PC anymore !!!

Awesome to see the PS4 scene progressing well, heres the latest news:
Developer Wildcard has updated his kernel dumper for the PS4. The tool supports firmware 4.05, 4.55, and 5.05.
For those of you interested in digging into the PS4 Firmware, you’ll want to have a look into this tool which lets you dump the PS4 kernel for further analysis. This includes, but is not restricted to, looking for vulnerabilities in the firmware. (And if that’s your thing, you’ll probably want to have a look at Belf, the recently released ida pro loader for PS4 Elfs)
Since some people were apparently having issues dumping the kernel through the original technique of a network socket, Wildcard has added direct support for dumping on the usb drive.
There’s no compiled payload release though, so you’ll have to build the payload yourself from source.

Great news for me as i have a PS4 on the 5.50 firmware:
Linux loader for PS4 FW 5.05 has been released and it’s fully working. Unlike last time this release has everything you need to run it and it’s not a WIP.
- @HackInformer informs us via Twitter, that the WIP project for pushing up Linux working on later PS4 firwmare is now completed, and those running v5.05 can now enjoy loading up the 'other os' that Sony has not supported since the early days of their PS3 console!How to useDownload: PS4 Linux loader FW5.05
For now, only some PS4 FAT models are supported, see the list here.
You need a FAT32 formatted USB drive plugged in on any PS4’s USB port with the following files in the root directory: bzImage and initramfs.cpio.gz. You can download them here.
Then you will need to send the payload (PS4-Linux-Loader.bin) to your PS4. For that go to your PS4 web browser, go to darbness.com/ps4 and send the payload to your PS4 using netcat or other.. (You can also use my tool: PS4 Payload Sender).
PS4 owners with 5.05FW can now try different versions of Linux on the PS4 with this release but you will still need to compile video driver for it. I recommend trying out PSXITARCH Linux as it has everything already set up for you. If you are on FW 4.05 or 4.55 don’t update until the other stuff gets released here soon.

Good news from @SpecterDev for the PS4 scene!
Within the next few weeks there will be a PS4 5.05 full stack release including tools for homebrew development. Some other tools will be dropped as time goes on. Don’t update your <= 5.05 consoles if you care about homebrew. Hope to see cool stuff soon

That simple tweet above by @Abkarino set off a chain of fire thru all the PlayStation scene websites, and here is the full details:
The Mira Project is the result of the hard work from the OpenOrbis team. We believe in quality over quantity releases. There are numerous components to the project and each one will be explained below:
- Firmware
Previously known as MiraHEN, this has been expanded into a full expansion custom firmware - Tools
There are many tools included in the Mira project and they are listed out below:
- newlib-ps4
This is the libc implementation ported for PS4. It's a pain in the ass to compile, just take the pre-built binaries seriously. - ld-ps4
This is the linker to be used with newlib-ps4 to create Orbis compatible ELF files, or you could use CrazyVoid's elfFixupTool
- newlib-ps4
- MiraLib
This is the communications library that will be specialized for operation with the Mira firmware.
User Guide - The users guide is found at USERS.md yamsayin' check it out, if you want instructions on how to build, install, and use the firmware once it has been installed on the console with any of the methods described within.

Heres good news for those with exploitable PS4 Consoles:
As www.PSXHAX.com points out belong in their quoted news story, the future of exploiting our v4.55 PlayStation 4 consoles has gotten a bit more exciting, as now it might be possible soon to regain access to PSN and online games on our older PS4 consoles, time will tell.
Previously, we learned for PSN access on jailbroken PS4 consoles beyond spoofing the version string you'll also need to spoof index.dat and X-Passphrase according to scene devs, and today PlayStation 4 developer @zecoxao updated his Github repository with a PS4 port of the PS3 index.dat decrypter called UnDat from fail0verflow.
While PlayStation scene developer Joonie reminds us "most people will just have to forget about PSN for hackable PS4 and likely need two consoles for both general daily gaming and homebrewing" it will be interesting to see what the future holds for PlayStation 4 spoofers and online games.

Heres some PS4 News for fans of Silent Hill:
P.T. was to the big blockbuster game to regain the glory days of 'Silent Hills' on PlayStation, but it got cancelled and then Konami tried to wipe it out for history as if it never existed in the first place, but lucky for us its been saved in dark corners of web and now we can enjoy trying out the game that will never be on our PS4 consoles that are running the popular exploitable v4.05 or v4.55 firmwares.
Since PT demo isn't the easiest thing to find for your PS4, so I figure I would put it up for everyone to get since it is just a Demo.
This DEMO is made for PS4's running either FW 4.05 or 4.55 and using the HEN/Debugger exploit.
Released for the PlayStation 4 on 12 August 2014 as a free download on the PlayStation Network, P.T. served primarily as an interactive teaser for the game Silent Hills, a canceled installment in the Silent Hill series. After the cancellation, Konami removed P.T. from the PlayStation Store and eliminated re-installing the game, a decision that later spawned criticism and fan efforts to allow P.T. to be re-downloaded.

Someone loves linux in a big way, heres more Linux News:
It is still a 'work-in-progress' project, so don't rush and update from v4.55 firmware just yet, as payloads, and exploit hosts need updating, but scene developer @C0rpVultra says its occurring and has launched his WIP GITHub page, and is busy putting together the final bytes.
