Heres another release for the PS3 Hacking scene:

Evilnat his very popular PS3 utility SEN Enabler with support for the latest CFW firmwares and updates:
    Improvements v6.0.8

    • Updated Cobra data
    • Added support for CFW Rebug 4.82 D-REX

Remember to use Charles Proxy now along with SEN Enabler and block three URLs (you can add more if you want), this software will minimize ban risk, but a ban is not 100% avoided on CFW. Block all these URLs on Charles or similar:

The awesome multi system supporting emulator has a new release, heres what systems this release is for starting with PC, Apple Mac, Android, IOS, Playstation 3, Playstation Portable, PSVita, Xbox Original, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and Raspberry PI:

RetroArch 1.7.3 has just been released! Grab it here. This latest version has also been uploaded to the Google Play Store. If you’d like to show your support, consider donating to the team. Check here in order to learn more.
RetroArch now has a WIMP GUI, powered by the powerful multimedia framework Qt! This feature is available currently for Windows and Linux. macOS users will have to wait a while longer for this feature to arrive to their platform.

The WIMP GUI works as a companion to the main RetroArch window. You bring it into view by pressing the F5 key on your keyboard. From there, you can do many tasks:

    • Select a game from any playlist
    • Browse the file system or any attached media storage device and load a game.
    • Scan directories for content and generate system playlists.
    • Associate cores to an entire playlist or associate only one entry of a playlist to a specific core

Some things we’d like to note:

    • This has been the combined work of bparker and Tatsuya79 that have worked tirelessly on this for a month. We are aware of several features that we’d like to implement, such as playlist editing, grid view layouts, etc.
    • We are open to feedback on the GUI.
    • You will likely not see this WIMP GUI on Android or iOS (or any game console for that fact) anytime soon. WIMP interfaces don’t lend themselves well to devices that rely on touchscreen or gamepad-based controls.
    • (For Linux users) The Qt GUI should definitely work on X11. If you’d like to run it on Wayland, make sure you have the appropriate packages installed for Qt5 in your package manager. Be aware that Qt 5 cannot gracefully fail right now in case a platform module/plugin is missing from your system. This means that if you invoke the companion UI by pressing F5 on Wayland, and for whatever reason the platform module that Qt relies on in order to work on Wayland is not there, there is no way for RetroArch to gracefully fail there and just not show the companion UI. There will be a crash instead. Unfortunately we have talked to some Qt developers and they see no other way around this for now. The same situation applies for DRM/KMS right now. If we can find a better solution to this, we will certainly return to it.
    • (For mac Users) You will have to wait a bit longer for this to arrive to the Mac port unfortunately. Hopefully that wait is not too long.
    • We would like to still improve initial bootup times for the companion UI. Right now, on first initial startup, it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 seconds (depending on your harddrive and its performance), but on subsequent boots should only take 2 seconds or less for first startup. Hopefully by resorting to Link Time Code Generation and other avenues we can shave off some more seconds off this boot time.

Those of you with Superslim versions of the PS3 are going to like this news, basically the PS3Xploit is coming to you, heres the details from Eurasia:

The upcoming version 3 of the PS3Xploit has support for PS3 SuperSlim, in other words all consoles previously not supported by custom firmware (CFW) are covered. As you can imagine this is a pretty big deal, lots of PS3 users are waiting with high expectations, and what does that usually lead to? Leaks and drama... Anyway, as it turns out the leaked version is incomplete and buggy, also has the potential to brick consoles, so skip that one and wait for the final public release due in a few days. If you want more information, check Team PS3Xploit's warning over at psx-place.com. Sorry for the late post, but at least I kept my promise of not leaking the news prematurely. How about that? A hacker with integrity."

Heres the news a lot of you PS3 Owners have been waiting for, the previously unhackable SuperSlim PS3s may be soon hackable:

Currently, the only way to mod an PS3 SuperSlim is via ODE hardware, and its not perfect, you end up with 'disc-swapping' and 'file injection' and other issues, and the only other way is an very long time wasting 'game injection' method via your PS3 HDD and USB Backup, and you have to redo the whole long process for each new game added.

But no more, soon the world of the un-crackable PlayStation's consoles will be set free for all to enjoy on the latest official Sony v4.82 firmware, all tho there will still be some tiny quirks leftover, it will still be a ton easier to finally be able to Jailbreak the SuperSlim.
[COLOR=#141414][FONT=Lato]STLcardsWS said:[INDENT]What will this future exploit provide?

    • "Install PKG Files" unlocked on XMB (Retail / Debug PKGs,) *No PS3 Homebrew Support
    • PS1 Emulator Support
    • PS2 Emulator Support
    • PSP Emulator Support
    • PS3 Backup Support (Convert your PS3 Game to Digital PKG - npdrm* (requires game update for disc game backups to work))
    • New Resigning Tools

What you need to know about the legacy PlayStation emulators?

    • PS1 emulation is very good on the PS3, most games will play fine
    • Ps2 emulation is hit and miss on the PS3 (slightly more then half PS2 titles will work fine)
    • PsP emulation is roughly about a 40% success rate for the PS3
    • PS3 Backups - Require a Game Update

    Heres a video:

Sony updated the PS3 to Firmware 4.82 only the other day and already theres a new custom firmware released, awesome stuff by the homebrew hackers for the PS3:

Team PS3Xploit over at psx-place.com has released software tools for dumping and writing NOR/NAND flash on PS3 consoles with original firmware (OFW) 4.82 based on the previously released webkit exploit! Dumping supports both OFW 4.81 and 4.82. The PS3Xploit development team behind this impressive feat consists of: W (nonoscript, Research & Testing), esc0rtd3w (Debugging, Research & Testing), habib (ROP & Debugging), bguerville (ROP/nonoscript & Debugging). These tools allow dumping, patching and overwriting original firmware (OFW) 4.82 with a custom firmware (CFW). If the QA flag is enabled after installing CFW 4.82 it can also be downgraded to lower CFW version. However, not all PS3 models are supported, here's a brief list of the currently supported ones...

    Dumper: PHAT models supported; H=NOR, J=NOR, K=NOR, L=NOR, M=NOR, P=NOR, Q=NOR. SLIM models supported; 20XX = NOR, 21XX = NOR, 25XX = NOR, 3XXX = NOR, 4XXXB = NOR, 4XXXC = NOR.

    Writer: PHAT models supported; A = NAND, B = NAND, C = NAND, E = NAND, G = NAND, H = NOR, J = NOR, K = NOR, L = NOR, M = NOR, P = NOR, Q = NOR. SLIM models supported; 20XX = NOR, 21XX = NOR, 25XX = NOR (fw 3.56 and lower).

Warning: Do not use this on 3xxx/4xxx PS3 models (aka Late Slim models / SuperSlim), you will brick those consoles! Also, this is only for PS3 with previously installed OFW 4.82, not CFW.

There is a chance of bricking your console, just be aware of the risks. For more info check the news post over at psx-place.com. The files can be downloaded here at EurAsia."

Some awesome news for PS3 Owners or Playstation 3 if you prefer it that way, the PS3 is a game console i have owened from day 1, infact i still have 2 day one consoles, one working and one not, the one that hasnt has the yellow line of death and i tried getting into it and failed so gave up, the day one consoles have the PS2 innards if im not mistaken, anyway enough of my blurb, heres the news:

It was nearly 7 years ago since we have seen a PS3 Official Firmware Exploited (3.55 being the last), which predates many PS3 models and thus why those later Slim & SuperSlim models could never install Custom Firmware (CFW) and/or Downgrade. However that could all change as a team of three have been developing a new project (4.81 OFW Exploit) called PS3Xploit. The 'Unhackable PS3 models' will be a term of the past, but the exploits not quite there yet but the possibility of a HENkaku (vita) style hack is very plausible. Currently the exploit has allowed for access to enable Flash dumps on all consoles, Then Write access to Flash, unhackables (25xx +) will not be able to write but all previous PS3 will so that means Goodbye Hardware Flashers and Hello Software Downgradrs. The team is consisting of psx-place's very own @bguerville, @esc0rtd3w and W form the team behind PS3Xploit.
