At the TechEd conference, Microsoft showcased its new gesture controls for Windows 10.
The touch pad gesture will allow users to swipe downward with three fingers to clear all windows from the desktop.
Users can also use their fingers to swipe up to bring the windows back again.
Joe Belfiore, vice president for PCs, tablets and phones at Microsoft, said at the event: “The way we're rolling out is different this time; we're getting builds out early to users for feedback. It's a more collaborative development process.”
Windows 10 will also bring new security features for enterprise customers, including the ability to run applications that have been signed by Microsoft.
Microsoft also announced its plans to expand its Big Data offerings, with previews of Azure Streaming Analytics and Azure Data Factory.
Azure Event Hubs will also be generally available for customers.
These capabilities will help customers process data from devices and sensors within the Internet of Things (IoT) and manage data.
This news comes after the firm revealed a new Action Center in the preview build 9860, which collects toast notifications and alerts from traditional Windows applications and system notifications.
