Ys I and II Special Box

In other Interchannel news, the company has put together a special box with both the Ys I and Ys II remakes for DS, which comes with an art book, maps, a soundtrack CD, and some keychain things. The package sells all together for 9,800 yen - they probably should've had them together to begin with though. There's also a video on that first site.

Being a huge Ys fan, I was very disappointed in the DS remakes. I really wanted to like them more, but the production values were very low. However, the box set looks nice from a collectors viewpoint, and has a bargain price combining both games. But its still no excuse for such poor "remakes".

I don't know why they didn't just port over the regular PC Ys Eternal remakes. That would've been way better. Being a huge Ys fan myself it's sad to see this release not be up to par. It's actually even worse than Napishtim on psp.
