Ritz has today released what looks to be one of the best looking Homebrew Games for the Nintendo DS.
Take a look at these screens:
Heres what ritz has posted about his game:
sonic is the development name for my homebrew nintendo ds 3d game project. some notable features include skeletal animation, static & dynamic point lights, shadow volumes, skyboxes, picking, gravity and object & environment collision detection. in the near future i will build the game logic, a.i., scripting and i hope to include an interactive 3d map builder for easy world creation and object & creature placement

Wow! Great job! It's one of the best looking DS games I've seen! I made a gameplay video of it and put it on YouTube and Blip.tv here. Can't wait for the next release. Keep up the good work.![]()
This is a really rare combination of great programming, 3D models and texturing !
I can't wait to try it myself tomorrow (my girlfriend has my DS with her today)
Wow. this looks really nice, I hope he can stay dedicated to it and finish it up, It kinda remidns me of neverwinter nights![]()
Looks nice (for a DS game of course).
Great Work!
Awesome graphics and good controls, this might turn out to be quite a good homebrew DS game.
Nice, there aren't many 3D homebrew projects and this looks about as good as a commercial game. This remind's me of Payk's wolveslayer game http://payk.drunkencoders.com/ . You guys should try to start a company or something, this is truly amazing.
All these models come from the PC game Neverwinter Nights. It would be awesome if someone could port it, especially considering the DS can graphically take it.
well, he said he would only use those models until he can make his own original ones.
