fcorbier has updated his port of Mplayer to the Nintendo Wii, heres whats new etc:

-mount/unmount the SD card and/or USB drive so you can swap them out without reloading MPlayerWii (thanks to rodries)
-added USB read-ahead cache (thanks to rodries)
-added preliminary samba network share support (thanks to scip)
-fixed startup crash when a usblan or usb keyboard is attached
-added network streaming cache
-added video scaling with the nunchuk (use joystick to move, Z button to stretch and C to reset)
-added configuration file (put in the SD root folder)

Awesome app!! Had a bit of trouble getting it to work at boot but found out filesize of my avi needed to be around less than 700mb.
Nothing a quick video splitter wouldnt fix. Great quality audio and sound and puts a stop to wasting hours converting to different formats.
I use 80 inch virtual screen glasses on my wii. Being able to stretch the screen size manually with the nunchuk stick makes the most of it with no reduction in quality. By far the best homebrew app I've come across so far![]()
What about subtitles ?
