Default VMU All Stars: 13-in-1 game collection

You might know that people can not have more than one game on a VMU. What a pain as you need a Dreamcast or another VMU to get a new game on it.

But that was then, now you just put VMU All Stars on your VMU and get 13 well-known homebrew games at once! Games can be selected from a menu.

Because half of the games had to be disassenbled in order to get included, there are 3 games (marked with a !) that might freeze, but you can always reboot the VMU by pressing the metal button on the back.

Get downloads for Dreamcast, PC, Nexus as well as the source code here:
    http://www.rockin-b.de/vmu-all-stars.html

To be clear the games are from various authors of the VMU homebrew scene, while only the effort to merge them together has been done by The Rockin'-B.

Very cool Rockin' B! I'm sure a lot of people will appreciate this. I know I will.

    Nice work mate!!
You're probably one of the last few people still devving VMU minigames and apps, so all DC fans will appreciate & enjoy your work!

Go online with your Dreamcast, visit website http://www.rockin-b.de/vmu-all-stars.html and click on "Dreamcast download" on the right. It will ask for confirmation. After download is complete, you can save it to a VMU.

Alternatively: if you got a Nexus memory cart (or compatible) with PC connection cable, download the "Nexus download" with your PC and upload it to the Nexus cart using the DCLink software. Then you need to copy the file (using Dreamcast) to a real VMU with screen.

Third option is to put it on a Dreamcast bootable CD with an app like the VMU Backup CD from bucanero.

However, you can still use it in a VMU emulator like SoftVMS/DirectVMS/WinVMS.

You're probably one of the last few people still devving VMU minigames and apps, so all DC fans will appreciate & enjoy your work!
Correct me if I'm wrong: Sadly, I haven't seen any other active VMU devver since I started in 2001, except Tyro might have been active back then, too.

Finally I had the chance to test it on real hardware and it performs different to an emulator:
    - swampy, paper, fatrain work without problems
    - 4 wins, sketch don't work at all
    - awaking from sleep doesn't work for menu and some games
    - icon displayed wrong
Given the fact that more games work than I thought, it is better than I expected. But I'll have a look again to remove some issues.

The past days I applied several little fixes:
    - all games work in emu now
    - all games except sketch work on real hardware
    - icon now displayed correct
    - sleep works for all games as well as selection menu
    - 4 wins works!!
    - buttons A and B swapped in menu

The DC, PC and Nexus downloads are updated, source not yet.

Well, to be honest I didn't say "you're the last one" because I wasn't sure.
It's a bit sad to confirm that you're the last one on the vmu dev scene!

If only my ASM skills were better ... sigh

keep the great work mate, c ya!

Strange. I did upload newer versions some weeks ago. The file is about 60 kB = 120 blocks. I always used Dream Key 3 browser for testing. End of this week I may work on getting VMU Vision working.
