Well, it IS a more powerful system. Four times the ram and twice the CPU speed. Bushing, of HackMii, long since found that the DSi's legacy mode had to cap its speed/memory, not unlike GBA mode on a DS or GCN mode on a Wii.
The problem is that Nintendo launched the DSi extremely quickly with jack squat for software, so nobody KNOWS that it's a more powerful system, unless they're either nerds or devs. Right now I'm feeling like my cameras and crappy music channel were not worth the extra money, to say nothing of cutting support for GBA and most flash cards. But if a good company can deliver quality games on the system that actually take advantage of it, then hopefully that'll change.
