That was a lot of good news, i thought the wii wasn't going to have dvd playback because Nintendo thought most people already have a dvd player, according to that site there is a dvd player

Yes, the Wii can read and play DVD’s

No, the Wii will not have built-in DVD movie playback, although a separate add-on is more than likely in development.
