Famitsu the Jap Magazine has said that with the pricepoint and unique gameplay that it expects the Wii to win the next gen war.

If Wii will have the same succes in Japan as the DS Lite in Japan is. And in other regions it can keep up with the compitition, then I am sure that the Wii will win this next generation.

you are wrong to disagree, sir. what bsg said is exactly correct. the japanese love sony, sure, but not enough for brand loyalty. obviously, they love innovation the most, and the wii is basically the home-console version of the DS. so, if sales remain even a little close in the rest of the world, japan will certainly tip the win into nintendo's hands. and this doesn't change, regardless of whichever system it is that you support
