Heres some info on the program:

PSP Rhythm is the homebrew drum machine for the Sony Playstation Portable.

Inspired by classic drum machines such as the Linndrum and Roland TR-series, PSP Rhythm has been created to use a similar simple, yet effective sequencer.

PSP Rhythm uses a parameter feature that enable you to change the pitch, volume, balance, start, end times, cutoff and resonance per step to create moving, changing melodies and effects. This control over your sounds will give you much more creative freedom.

The on board Bass Line synthesizer in PSP Rhythm is similar to the classic Roland TB-303. TB-303 style features such as Accent and Slide are available. The real time control of the Cutoff and Resonance give you that authentic "Acid" sound that made the TB-303 Bass Line Synthesizer so famous.

Included effects are: Distortion, Slicer, Delay, Time Stretch, High/Low Pass Filter and Monophonic Sample Mode.

Audio Resampling Engine completely rewritten and is more accurate
Tap Tempo implemented into pattern mode
Working MIDI file export
Tested with eLoader 0.99 and is working

quite obviously this program completely kicks arse.


i recommend it to anyone who composes music on anything else, as a "must have" piece of homebrew.

i use prefessional software sequencers on the PC, but i dont find any of them nearly as creative as psprhythm! it's so much more than just a "drumsequencer" i'm working on an album at the mo, and all my new tracks have started life on the PSP.... quite impressive how a good program like this can make me go from having "no new songs writeen all year" to "most of the tracks for an album"

YESSS! I hope it is easier to have control over melodies now as it became pretty chaotic with many tones per riff in previous versions.

It's 99,9% safe..
The installer makes sure that everything installs in the right folder, nothing else..
so feel free to use it

try Cubase, Logic, Pro-Tools (the industry standard)

@jmx, i actually think this is a better program than FruityLoops. since both use a very similar sample based step-sequenced system, it's largely the quality of the samples, and the application of the functions which make a song sound as if written on something like that.

@ Sam - i'd go for 100% safe. it's only writting to your memorystick!
