Australia has an estimated RRP for the Wii U

Australian retailer EB Games has listed a speculative price for the Wii U.
What would you pay?If you search the internet for a price on the Nintendo Wii U and come across the EB Games website, save your internet rants for another day, because nothing is confirmed.EB Games have listed the Wii U at a price of $598. After contacting the Media Manager of EB, CVG was informed the price given to the product is in fact "an estimated price which [EB] provide for all products where price has not yet been confirmed by the vendor."
That means $598 is a price that EB has given for what they *expect* the Wii U to be worth. Nintendo has neither provided a price, nor confirmed this as an Australian RRP for the console, which is expected to be released in 2012.
The Wii launched in Australia with a RRP of $399.95. The Wii U is definitely an advancement on the Wii, with new features and rumoured CPU specs to match the Xbox 360 - but at what cost? That's for Nintendo to decide.

Depending on the current rates, $600 is far too expensive for still a very poor powered console. The tablet controller is very interesting though, that's bound t be the most highest cost part to build.
