Warhawk now Blu-ray-only?

Warhawk developer Incognito might say its PS3 game will release only as a download via PlayStation Store, but Sony says otherwise.

"Officially, Warhawk will be released as a Blu-ray-based product," an SCEA spokesperson told IGN. "It will see release in late summer", they continued, adding that "It's a disk-based product" when asked if the game will also release as a download on PlayStation Store.

Earlier in the month it was confirmed that the PS3 flight combat game has had its single-player component hacked off, an honest Warhawk director Dylan Jobe saying "Single-player just really wasn't up to par". It's now a multiplayer-only game.

If it was considered small enough to be a download, lets hope it doesn't cost anymore than $20 to buy on Blu-ray.
