Rev WiiControl gives the temperature read out of your Wii

The WiiControl is one modder's solution to avoid overheating when WiiConnect24 isn't running a fan. An external LCD displays the internal temperature at all times. If the heat rises past 35°C, the Wii's fan kicks on just like it should have in the first place.

Here is a video of it in action as well:

Insteadv'e making something as big and ugly as that which uses the USB, they should've made a USB cooling unit for the base of the Wii with a small display indicating the temperature...

...And whilst on the subject of USB and going offtopic, a USB mod chip would be something cool!

I should have a review of the XCM I-HOT ROCK case for the Wii which has the temperature read out shortly.

Nintendo can do anything with their console using firmwares, they can even trigger the fan to run constantly if they wanted.
