That's only for U.S./Canada, Nintendo don't care about us Europeans and if our straps are broken or not. I don't use my straps (I disliked the slider), but I want replacement straps for if I ever decide to use a strap on my Wii Remotes again.
Regarding the news of new Wii Straps with a locking clip instead of a slider, it seems to be confirmed.
You can request for replacement wrist straps by going to Nintendo's website, filling in required information and your Nintendo Wii serial number. For those who have already entered their Wii serial number and exceeded the maximum quantity allowed, you can either email or call Nintendo and request for the new straps.

I guess there weren't as many complaints about wrist straps in Europe, I don't even use my wrist straps (I know how to hold my Wii-Remote) but Nintendo should've included Europe on this because I'm sure there are people who really need the replacements (unlike me just looking for a freebie from Nintendo) lol![]()
