    GBA New goomba color and new pocketnes

    Dwedit has released new versions of two emulators:

    New Goomba Color
    Download at http://www.dwedit.org/gba/goombacolor.php

    Version 2008-03-18
    * Moved GB rom bank 0 to GBA VRAM for higher speed!
    * Faster LCD status polling
    * Some minor CPU optimizations

    New PocketNES beta
    Download at http://www.dwedit.org/dwedit_board/viewtopic.php?id=345

    Changes 3-18-08:
    * More speedups from using EWRAM to store rom pages (instead of reading them from the cartridge)
    * Many savestate fixes
    * Now uses correct identification for savestates created with compressed roms. Old savestates made with compressed roms will not work.
    * Added in BG graphics synchronizing code, developed over a year ago, which was supposed to have been already integrated but appearently wasn't
    * Fixed cheats getting lost after loading state
    * Fixed compressed VS games
    * Some internal code changes to allow certain features to be excluded at build time

    Hey why do people keep bringing out or updating emulators for the GBA?

    The gba is old and under powered compared to the mighty DS so wouldn't it be better to port the old gba emulators to DS and take advantage of (A)more speed/better sound (B) with all the hard work and compatibility gone into the gba versions converting to DS would make so much sense.

    I know a lot of people play the gba emulators and games on the slot 2 cards but wouldn't if the ds had better , so that leaves a hand full of actual gba owners with there flash carts who should really be investing in a ds and R4/m3 or whatever.

    Anyway thats my 2 cents worth :-) and thank you

    Because there re people who still have this handheld.
    Also didn't you notice that the GBA has its own section here at DCEmu? Like the Dreamcast, Saturn, Xbox, GP32, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, etc?

    I did, i do but all i was trying to point out it that for the gba/DS at least i would have thought the DS would have been main priority to any programmer.

    I guess i would just like to see more updates for emulators for the DS :-) anyway point taken
