[psx4gp2x help]

Hello,
this is my first post, so why not ask for help?
Anyway, my psx4gp2x emulator will boot and I can choose a game from the list, but it will get stuck at the "Loading Bios" screen. The roms I am trying to use are .iso and .cue. I tried re-ripping one of the games and downloaded the BIOS again (from a different site), but it still won't go past that screen. Please help, as I am pretty much lost as to what to do next.
