UPDATE
Well it is the real deal although according to different people its not the final product as of yet, also GP2X emulators etc will just need to be recompiled to work on the GP3X, no news on specs etc at this time, also Gamepark asked both zodttd and gp32xtreme to remove the pic, bit late in the day now though eh ?
It Seems that Gamepark are to release the follow up to the GP2X called the GP3X if this pic that zodttd found is to be true.
Heres the pic

Thoughts on this as for now rumoured pic of the GP3X ?
thanks to zodttd for the pic.

Well maybe it's true, since they discontinued GP2X recently..

It would be great if Gamepark did release a new machine that addressed the GP2xs 2 problems - battery life and control stick. A decent dpad and a rechargeable high capacity battery pack could be the thing to add.
However, it looks to me as though Gamepark may have lost most of their development community to the Pandora.

if that pic is accurate, then it looks horrible and i would never buy it.

The photo is a FAKE, a bad photoshop work.
It's a part of the "kill gamepark to sell pandora" campaign started by CraigX and his evil crew few months ago.

Never mind.
Nice to see you here.
This picture has been semi-confirmed NOT to be related in any way with the new console coming from GPH by someone who is in contact with GPH and working for their new hardware.

I hope you're being sarcastic and aren't the troll with a similar name that tends to flame the Pandora web board.
Just in case: CRAIG WILL CONTINUE TO SELL GPH KIT. STOP TROLLING AND LET US ALL ENJOY SOME COMPETITION IN THIS MARKETPLACE.

It looks like something, but not a theoretical GP3X. There's no analog stick, which would be disturbing, and what is that "WiZ" logo for?

It's only semisarcastic, but the news that come from the pandora crew are innecesarely rude with gamepark hardware. And this pic posted by zodttd (an ex gp2x coder and a pandora coder involved in developement) can only damage the public image of gamepark and his new handheld.
I'm not completely serious on this, but im not joking at all.

At $330 for a Pandora, there will still be lots of market share for GPH to compete for.
Emulation is still GPX strength. I would like to see the new machine try to tackle some emulation areas that the current machine cannot. Particularly the N64. Adding a graphics chip to the unit would be a cool next step.

GPH is going to shoot themselves in the foot if they don't have it compatible with gp2x software. I think GPH tarnished their own reputation, with not listening to the dev's and doing everything wrong. So a lot of devs did jump on the Pandora bandwagon, but that's not a bad thing either. Not to many hardware companies give out free dev units. (one reason devs are jumping on board)

GPH did send free dev units to some developers. So that makes a total of 2 companies. Not many, that's right.

I'm surprised because now we know the leaked photo was real. It was not a fake. I have a GP2X and don't need this smaller console, and I'm worried with the buttons. Is a good option for people that don't have a GP2X, it has 3D chip, is more portable and faster. The best is that will be compatible with previous software (by dinamic link or recompiling), and the scene will grow.
It is very good to have two open source consoles now, each one good in their area. (Wiz=console, Pandora=micro pc)
Have a nice day.
