i'm gonna get one of these, and i'll probly start making a gba emulator for it, using the source of vba pc as a base. since i've looked up that it's similar to pc in programming, except different only slightly, i'll look into devkits and stuff. :D

You're out of your league. VBA is a beast of an emulator.
Learn some C and C++ first. Write yourself a space invaders emu, then come back.
That being said, odds are one of the people who had a demo system sent to them is already working on this.

i never know how people can do so well of a emu, i probably can never do better then a doom emu...

Emulator porting is easy. Easier than making a homebrew game (usually, depending on the game). I've done one that only required about 5 lines of code to be changed.
Emulation optimization, which not very many are good at, is hard. MUCH harder than the porting.

i have been learnign c++, differnt college courses, that is

all i can say good luck :D wish u the best coz im gonna get gp2x when it coems out and would realy like to play some gba on it :D

stuff like nes and the rest will be easy due to SDL-just change the controls and recompile pretty much, however gba would need heavy optimisation.
And so far as I know nobody is working on a gba emu as of yet.
