GP2X UK (http://www.gbax.com/main.pl) have posted news that all fans of homebrew and emulation on consoles will be happy to hear, finally the GP2X is released and shipping, the console for those that dont know is a Portable Linux Based console which already has ports of Quake, Quake 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Amiga and Gameboy Emulators being worked on and that is nothing compared to whats not been publically revealed. One very cool addition is the fact that it has a TV out thats compatible via software with any region.

heres the news from the site:

Nov 10th: Great news, all testing is complete (we had a last minute USB bug) and we are ready to start packaging and shipping. There are a lot of orders to work through so please be patient. You will recieve an email when your order has shipped. The development section will go public over the weekend for Linux and for Raw hardware.

TV out cables will be shipping from around the 15th, so these will be added to the site soon. They should work on all TV formats (software select).

We hope to clear almost all preorders by the 15th of November. Thanks for all the support and emails over the last month and a half, its been stressful but great fun :)

Eeeee! so exciting, I hope it gets through customs before I go on vacation. I also wish it was easier to tell how high you were on the preorder list. Ah well, more waiting and eager anticipation for me.

Do the emus for the GP32 work on this?

Lik Sang says -

"Free Emulators for SNES, NES, GB, GBC and GBA, Sega Mega Drive, Master System, Spectrum, C64, Atari, PC Engine, MAME, MSX, Neo Geo Pocket, Game Gear and more"

I was under the impression that although all that was possible, none of it was available yet, unless all the GP32 stuff works.
