Here are some questions that I have.
1) How is homebrew put on the GP2X? Can I use a USB connection?
2) What are the current best emulators for the GP2X?, most popular?
3) How is the PSX scene coming along? Is it playable?
4) Can I use GP32 homebrew on a GP2X?

1) you simply put the files on the SD card! using a method other than the gp2x itself to write files to the SD card is suggested (i dont know why, all the supergeeks say so)
2)umm...theres mame, which is near perfect, SNES, which is improving every day, master system, megadrive, gameboy color, a bunch of neogeo, and even a playstation emulator (in need of MAJOR improvement)
3)it's playable, more or less...but there hasn't really been any news for weeks about psx.
4) most likely not, since the two run on completely different drivers.

umm well its not really new, its just that this is like a more high quality version of the original gp2x that was released at christmas time, coz there were a lot of things wrong with the console in its initial release, so this should fix all of those bugs and do everything the guys say they should...well its up to you really if you want to send it back and wait 1-2 months for the next version or not

Its not worth sending it back if you have warranty on the device. The only thing they mostly fixing is a shoddy joystick which some people were complaigning about and afew other things. Speed wise and tech wise it'll be the same exact device. Why dont you research for yourself..

1) Use a SD card reader/writer (you should get one free with gp2x.co.uk) It is much less hassle.
At worst they will change the LCD screen (which today's units shouldn't have any problems) and a new joystick cap.
Most of the things wrong with the First Edition series are software related.
