Thumb Stick Diagonals

Hi,

I love my gp2x except for one thing. The thumb stick is near useless.

The diagonals are too sensitive, so it is near impossible to say press DOWN, instead the console registers a DOWN-RIGHT or a DOWN-LEFT.

In games it is not 'too' much of a problem, but for navigating menus it is a nightmare. (especially in game select screens like Dr MD where left and right skip a whole page)

Anyone got any ideas to fix this and make it less sensitive? I have tried adjusting the screws on the case / removing the case etc but to no avail

Thanks in advance for your help

Luke

DaveC from gp32x.com forums is selling a replacement cap which is miles better then the standard cap.

The main problem is that it is a 12 way joystick (think hours on a clock) so it is really easy to hit diagonals on it.

Thanks, I will try out the replacement cap.

Well, replacement caps 'feel' better but do little or nothing for the diagonal problem.

What is needed is some sort of template ring to go around the joystick, just like for example on the deamcasts analog stick.
