I was just curious if anyone had any big projects in the works?
Also, I was kind of puzzled to hear that the GP2X has good MAME, SNES and Sega Genesis/Megadrive, but not a fully functioning NES emulator. Am I missing something? You'd think that a NES emulator would come first.

Depends what holds the developers interest more. SMD and MAME were literally straight ports from the GP2X versions by current active developers.

That makes sense. I know the GP2X development scene is still quite young and I'm sure that people are working hard and will have NES and other emulators up and running before we know it. I'm kind of leaning towards getting one of these instead of a PSP. It's a tough decision though. I'm thinking that the GP2X is probably more user friendly when it comes to coding homebrew games and applications.
