Hi, just ordered one and think it's great!
Finally supports up to 8gig SD Card (dont need ipod)
and the Dual CPU is also 2 times faster than before..
DivX and Xvid support is now much better with resolutions up to 720x480 (30fps)
Also, OGG and WMA support is much better (fully supported)
The highlight probably is the Playstation Emulator
which allows you to play nearly all PS1 Games...
Since the PSP's graphic quality is about half-way between PS1 and PS2,
this one is going to be the cracker (they are all free of course..!)
TV-out is great, i can finally watch movies and play Doom on TV..!
Battery is also the normal AA ones which is a very common format..superb.
There are also LOADS of other hombrews which I think is superb...
It does much more job than a Nintendo DS and is also very cheap:
70 GBP in Korea + free TV-cable....(bought it in korea)
ALso, the 8gig sticks are very cheap (about 50000 Won,that's roughly 25 GBP..i think)
Memory sticks are TOO expensive...a lousy 2 gig one costs 200pounds!!!!!!!!!
The good thing is that everything is free and SNES,Genesis is also cool.
But i still use my PSP for GTA...(only reason to stick to it..i guess..)

The title is misleading. There is not a Second Edition GP2X avialable. This has been confirmed by GPH themselves.
However... 8 gig SD cards?!? They actually exist? :S
Also what firmware version have you got?

It's great to back the GP2X but I think this thread has to be a little biased!
8 gig SD card indeed, Dual CPU now twice as fast (wow firmware can make a massive difference! :))

"and the Dual CPU is also 2 times faster than before.."
Doesn't make any sense either. There is no Second edition and something as big as this should have made headlines in other boards as well. The firmware shouldn't make a difference since developers already have access to the second core already but not really been using.
I think some clarification is needed here...

go to DCemu.co.uk and see the Headlines. New GP2X sold from 2006 February onwards are SEcond Editions.
