As many of you, I have found that i trapped a little dust particle between the screen and the cover. At the beginning I didnt notice, but now That I See It, Is Driving Me Nuts (My Obsesive Compulsive Dissorder Is Really hitting On This Issue!)

Has Anyone Of You Removed The Screen Cover Once Its Glued? Any Hints?

In a nutshell:
Pry the cover off carefully, the glue tends to remain sticky enough to replace the cover
Open the GP2X up and remove the dust from the 'other side' of the screen
Use a ballon/static trick to move the dust to the corners

Is there any vendor that sells the GP2X with the cover already on? I heard that Play-Asia sells theirs with updated firmware, which makes me wonder if they also put the cover on as well.

I was very careful not to let any dust land on the screen before attaching the cover... but somehow i forgot that the cover itself could take some along with it  . And now I'm a happy +1 fibre GP2X owner. SO shocked after stupidity!

The thin layer on the cover also fooled me to believe I had buyed "broken" piece of equipment. But it actually was protecting my screen! Now it takes too many greasy fingerprints on it. +1 Bonus: I can see my hair from the mirrorlike shininess when a nice looking girl is walking by :D (and they believe I was just another playing nerd)

A while ago, I read a trick about avoiding dust while putting a protector on a screen. I have not tried it myself, but it sounded interesting.

The idea is to go in the bathroom, door closed, and open the tap (or shower) hot water, until the air is saturated with vapor. This has two advantages: vapor traps dust particles and prevents them from floating around, and it cancels electrostatic fields that could make a plastic surface attractive for the dust.
