[seemingly random freezes?]

Ok I havne't had my GP2X long, about 4 days now, And ive noticed a few major problems with it freezing. I'll detail them for you

For the record I'm using the 1.2.1 firmware that it shipped with. (Pondering upgrading to 1.4 but haven't decided (unless it helps me a lot))

MP3 playback, You think this wouldn't mess up but somehow it does. Freezes usually near the end of songs (for the record most of the songs I was testing were about 7:00 in length)
This I later noticed happened MUCH MORE OFTEN when I was using or plugged in headphones. (Seemed strange but it was definitely more often with headphones)

Video playback, some AVI's just freeze, If i changed video's a lot it would freeze more often.

Playing games, I expected quite a bit of this truthfully so its not that bad, BUT again with the headphones it seems MUCH more common.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Should I upgrade?
