I tried plugging in the audio cables from the TVout cable (after finding some male to male plugs) And theres no sound!

I read the little instructions that came with the cable but it just says plug it in (yet it comes with female connectors....)

Anyway there a special way to get audio to work? I can plug them in to the headphone jack with an adapter but I don't think thats what they are meant it to be for

Also WHY ARE THEY SOO SHORT! I had to pick up an S-video cable and a coupler so I could hold it in my hand instead of the GP2X stuck behind the TV..

Hi Lexiticus,

There Should Be Sound When You connect The TVout Cable To Your TV.

Its A Female Connector, Since The Lenght Of Your Playing Place To Your TV Can Vary A LOT, You Are Responsible For Getting The Cable. BTW, Male To Male RCA Is The Most Common One =)... So When You Get The TVout Cable With RCA Females, Imagine Its The Back Of A VCR =) That's Why It's Like That. I Suggest You Check You Did The Correct Connections To Your TV, the Volume Is Up, Etc...

Now, DO NOT PLUG THE HEADPHONES AND THE TVOUT At The Same Time. IT Will Crash The GP2x. I've Tried It And It Crashes All The Time. Probably They Already Fix It With The Latest Firmware.

Good Luck

Ya I tried on 2 TV's no go on either one, the audio cables don't output any sound, It comes out of the GP2X still (although the Video works great)

Also I often plug in the headphones to the GP2X and just the S-video cable to the back of the TV and it doesn't crash any more than normal (which unfortunately is still too much) Still waiting on the next firmware, Hopefully that will fix a lot of issues ive been having (Stability mostly)

I'll try my cable on my friends GP2X when he gets his in a few days, maybe mine is somewhow busted.

Yeap... Or Probably Your GP2x TVOut Cable Input Is Damaged... Be Sure To Check It Out!
