[System Shock port?]

I've never played System Shock, but I've really wanted to. I heard that someone was once doing a port for System Shock using SDL, so I was wondering if it could be possible to make a port of it for the gp2x. Any thoughts on the matter?

Shouldn't be a problem although I have a feeling that it needs to be optimised quite a bit to run well.

yeah, THAT would be nice.

but no, SS is not open source.

In fact, just about everything from Origin has a hell of a time running on anything (even the systems they were designed for) because they all manage their memory in custom ways.

Thats why to play SS even on a PC, you need dosbox AND a hacked executable.

Though a great idea, i highly doubt it would be possible.
