[Help a beginner out?]

I joined this forum just now because I want to learn how to start making (and maybe hacking) games on the DS. I just wanted to know what kind of things I would want to get so I can get started and maybe a breif tutorial to get me started if it's not too much to ask :o .

Start by getting devkitpro, there are some tuts in there that show you the basic DS hardware and how to use it.

aiyo so this devkit thing this also lets you create your own psp homebrew games as well?
also do any one know how long it takes to get a home brew ds game done?
