Backed by a Dual-CPU, both clocked at 200Mhz, 64MBytes of Flash Memory (non-volatile to store data) and 64MBytes of RAM, it gives you all a video games enthusiast can ask for. The joystick in the pictures doesn't look any different.

A replacement joystick cap was already available... and only fixes 1/4 of the joystick issue. The real joystick issue is the sensitivity or "throw" distance, whatever you want to call it.
Firmware 2.0 was already available.
and what the heck is a "pre-attached screen cover".
This is not big news... it's a big disappointment actually. I sold my GP2X because of the poor joystick. Games just aren't FUN with the crappy joystick.... isn't that the point of games?
I *WILL* buy another one if the actually replace the joystick with something better (like a D-pad).

The pre-attached screen cover was the dumb plastic protective screen that you had to attach if you bought it right out of the box. However some online stores were nice enough to put it on for you. I had to put mine on. Not a pain, just had to make sure no dust was in the air.
There are a few changes that are cool. But nothing warrents buying me another one. I like the current one that I have.

Screen was changed so there are no scanlines but the trade off is a slightly more washed out screen (BLU style) although this can be adjusted with a third party app.
The joysitck is internally rotated 45 degrees so there is more bias on the X and Y axis rather then the diagonals in Mk1. The replacement cap is not shown in the picture but if it anything like DaveC's, it is FAR better then the original.

Crud, is there any way to do that to Mk1 without breaking it? Not worth getting a new gp2x, but some games are practically unplayable as it is.
Edit: that is, rotate it 45 degrees
