[How can I get Started?]

I just recently found out about homebrew for the DS and i was wondering where can I get all of the stuff needed for homebrew?
I also need to know the best items for the job.
If someone could help me out by giving me the names of the items I need to buy for homebrew and (possibly) how to use/run them that would be greatly appreaciated! :D
