This is my first post. I don't even know if this is the right place to put this post. The admins can move it if they see fit.
I connected my GP2X to my desktop (running Ubuntu Linux) and it didn't do anything. So i got out my laptop (running windows 2000) and it worked perfectly. Does anybody know if there is anyting i need to do to get my GP2X to work in Linux???

Define 'work'. A card reader would be the simplest solution.

That would work but i would like to know that my GP2X (that runes Linux) can connect to my desktop (that runes Linux)

I have no idea. Very few people use the USB cable + GP2X to transfer files to the SD card. Even fewer use Linux. Try the GP32x boards, you should have more luck there.

It can at times be a bit patchy in that way. Try updating firmware, and getting a card reader is the best option. Its also much faster with a card reader to transfer stuff.
