I live in the UK and just purchased a PSP from the US with nyko theatre experience speakers for the very low price of 90 pounds! Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows if these are the old or new versions of the speakers? Also I have asked and been told that it is version 1.52. I have looked around and think it is fine for homebrew but just confirming! Thanks in advance.

yeah 1.52 is ok for homebrew. first you have to upgrade to an exploitable fw like 2.0. then downgrade again to 1.5. now your psp is already homebrew ready. but i would suggest to upgrade again to the latest custom firmware of Dark_Alex.

BTW: those speakers are useless imo and demand too much power

Thanks for the help. I am going to get my friend to upgrade it as he has done many before! What is wrong with the speakers? Isnt there a switch to turn off the amp? It got 8 out of 10 in the dcemu review.
